Introduction of Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme

In this high profile era, taking a education from well noted educational institute will become expensive and more expensive.
Lots of students have a desire to do certain specific courses, but due to the problem faced by financially they are not able to do so.
To help students to take quality and desirous education from their own interest, Government of Andhra Pradesh take a major step.
Government of Andhra Pradesh started Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme for the welfare of poor students and students belongs to low income group.
It was started in the year 2019.
The main objective behind launching Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme is to provide financial assistance in form of fee imbursement to deserving students so that they can encourage to complete their higher education.
Department of Social Welfare of Andhra Pradesh Government is the responsible department of Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.
This Scheme is also known as Andhra Pradesh Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme or Vidya Deevena Scheme.
Under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme, Government of Andhra Pradesh will borne all the expenses incurred on the study of eligible students.
Government of Andhra Pradesh will pay/ reimburse the following fees of the students under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme :-
- Full Course/ Tuition Fees.
- Exam Fees.
- Any Special Fees.
Students belongs to any of the below mentioned category are only eligible to apply under Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme :-
- Schedule Tribe.
- Schedule Caste.
- Kapu Category.
- Minority.
- Physically Challenged.
- Economically Backward Class.
- Backward Class.
In the initial phase of this scheme, the course fees was directly paid to the college/ university concerned.
But on 16th of June 2020, Government of Andhra Pradesh will pay the financial assistance in form of fees reimbursement directly in the bank account of student’s mother.
Andhra Pradesh Government will paid the course fees yearly in 4 installments every year.
There are both Online and Offline ways are available to students to apply.
Students can apply online to avail the benefit of Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme through Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal.
If any student wants to apply through offline way, then they can avail the benefit by applying through Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme Offline Application Form.

Benefits Provided to Students

The following benefits will be provided to eligible students under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme :-

Full Fees of the Course will be Refunded/ Reimbursed Back to Students.
Refund/ Reimburse of the Course Fees has include the following Fees :-
- Tuition Fees of the Course.
- Any Special Fees of the Course.
- Yearly or Semester Wise Exam Fees of the Course.
- Any Fees incurred during the timing of the Course.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Completed

The following Eligibility Conditions is set by the Andhra Pradesh Government for students in order to avail the benefit of Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme :-

Students of Andhra Pradesh.
The annual family income of students should be below Rs. 2,50,000/-.
Students belongs to following category are eligible to apply :-
- Schedule Tribe.
- Schedule Caste.
- Economically Backward Class.
- Backward Class.
- Minority.
- Kapu Category.
- Physically Challenged.
Land Holdings of Students Family should be :-
- Not More than 10 Acres of Wet Land.
- Not More than 25 Acres of Dry Land.
- Not More than 25 Acres of Wet and Dry Land Combined.
Student should be studying in any of the below mentioned Educational Institute are eligible to apply :-
- Government Colleges/ University.
- Government Aided Colleges/ University.
- Government Affiliated Private Colleges/ University.
- Student of Day Scholar.
- Hostellers.

Ineligibility Conditions Set by Government for Students

If any student falls within the following mentioned category then he/she is not eligible to avail the benefit of Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme. The ineligibility conditions of Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme are as follows :-

Students of Private or Deemed University.
Students of Correspondence or Distance Learning Courses.
Students secured admission through the following quota are not eligible :-
- Management Quota.
- NRI Quota.
- Sports Quota.
Post Graduate Students studying in Private Colleges.
Students who has Four Wheeler in the Family.
Students who has Tax Payer in the Family.
If Family of the Student holds/ owns a property having built up area of more than 1500 Square Feet.

Students studying in the below mentioned educational courses are eligible to apply under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme :-
B.E/ B.Tech.
B. Ed.
Polytechnic.
ITI.
B. Pharmacy.
MBA.
M. Pharmacy.
M.Tech.
Other Degree Courses.
Other Post Graduate Courses.

Documents Required at the Time of Apply

The following documents will be mandatorily required to avail the benefit of reimbursement of course fees under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme :-

Andhra Pradesh Domicile.
Aadhar Card of Student.
Income Certificate of Family or Rice Card.
Details of College Admission.
The following Self Declarations will be submitted :-
- That No Family Member is Government Pensioner or Current Employee.
- That No Family Member is a Tax Payer.
- That Students Family should not hold Property more than 1500 Square Feet.
- That Student Family should not hold Agriculture Land more than mentioned in Guidelines.
Details of Student’s Mother Bank Account.

Online Application Procedure of Scheme

Eligible students can apply online for Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme through Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal.
Go to Navasakam Beneficiary Management Portal and choose Login from Citizen Services.
Aadhar Verification is needed so enter your Aadhar Number.
Portal will verify the Aadhar Number of Student by sending an OTP.
After Aadhar Verification students has to choose Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme from the citizen scheme tab.
Fill the below mentioned details in phase wise :-
- Personal Details.
- Contact Details.
- College Admission Details.
Upload the required documents asked by the portal.
Preview the application form before submitting and then click on submit button.
Application Form with all the documents attached will be received by any of the following officers :-
- Welfare and Education Assistant.
- Ward Welfare and Development Secretary.
Officers will do field verification to verify physically the details given by student.
Eligible Students list will be made available in all the secretariats and on Jnanabhumi Portal after the field verification.
Once final approval will be provided by District Collector, the course fee will be transferred immediately in the bank account of students mother.
Student can also check their Application Status of Vidya Deevena Scheme online by entering their Application ID.

Offline Application Procedure of Scheme

Eligible students can also apply through Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme Offline Application Form to avail the benefits.
Application Form is available free of cost in the colleges/ university where students studying.
The following details will be filled by the students in Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme Application Form :-
- Personal Information.
- Contact Details.
- College Admission Details.
Attach the documents like, Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook, College Admission Proof etc.
The Application Form with all the documents will submit to the principal of college in which student is studying.
Initial verification will be done by college principal and after verification all the details of eligible students will be uploaded by college principal in Jnanabhumi Portal.
Students will get notified through SMS and Email once principal of the college submit their details online.
After that students has to visit his/her nearest Meeseva Center for biometric verification.
After biometric verification the application form will be submitted.
Application Form with all the documents attached will be received the below mentioned officers :-
- Welfare and Education Assistant.
- Ward Welfare and Development Secretary.
Field verification will be done by the officials to verify the details given by student in application form.
After field verification the list of eligible and ineligible students will be made available in all the secretariats and on the Jnanabhumi Portal.
After the final approval of District Collector, the course fee will be transferred immediately in the bank account of students mother.

Key Features of Scheme

Students having four wheeler in their home are not eligible to apply for Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.
But there is an exception that if student have the following vehicle then they are eligible to apply for Vidya Deevena Scheme :-
- Tractors.
- Taxies.
- Auto Rickshaws.
Family of Government Sanitary Worker or Group D Employee are eligible to apply for reimbursement of fees under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.
Students have to renew their application every year to make sure they continue to receive financial assistance.
Students studying in Telangana or Other State are also eligible to apply for fees reimbursement.
