Introduction of Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana Rajasthan: A Brief Insight

Rajasthan Government launched the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana on 16-01-2025.
The official name of this scheme is “Kalpana Chawla Girl Electric Two Wheeler Distribution Scheme”.
The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to encourage girls to pursue higher education. This scheme also fills the gap between girls students’ homes and college/ university.
This scheme is implemented by Department of Technical Education of the Rajasthan Government.
Free of Cost Scooty will be provided to all eligible girl students under the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana.
Rajasthan Government will distribute Electric Scooty/two-wheelers under this scheme.
With Scooty, Beneficiary Girl Students will also get 1 helmet, registration certificate of scooty and insurance of 1 year.
Girl Students studying Engineering and Diploma Course are only eligible to get a free-of-cost electric scooty.
Girl Students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ MBC/ EWS/ SBC and General social categories are the eligible social categories of this scheme.
Every year government will distribute 500 electric two-wheelers among eligible girl students of Rajasthan.
If any girl student is already a beneficiary of any financial assistance scheme of the Rajasthan Government, then she is eligible to apply for a free scooter under this scheme.
Beneficiary Girl Student of Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Scooty Yojana and Devnarayan Scooty Vitran Yojana are not eligible to get an electric scooty under the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Distribution Scheme of the Rajasthan Government.
If the annual family income of a girl student’s family is more than Rs. 8 lakh, then she is not eligible to apply.
Beneficiary Girl Students can apply to get free electric scooty under the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Scheme through Rajasthan Single Sign In Portal.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

Government of Rajasthan will provide the following benefits to all eligible girl students under its Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana :-
- Free of Cost Electric Scooty will be provided.
- Eligible Girl Students will get an Electric Scooty without paying any cost.
- Helmet, Registration of Scooty and 1 Year Insurance will also be provided.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

Free of Cost Electric Scooty under Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana of the Rajasthan Government will only provide to those eligible beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-

Permanent Resident Girl Students of Rajasthan are Eligible to Apply.
Girl Student should be studying in the First Year in any of the below-mentioned course :-
- Engineering.
- Diploma.
Girl students should belong to any one of the below-mentioned social category :-
- Scheduled Caste.
- Scheduled Tribe.
- Other Backward Class.
- Special Backward Class.
- Most Backward Class.
- Economically Weaker Section.
- General.
Girl Students should have below mentioned minimum marks in Class 10th and Class 12th :-
- 50% Marks in Class 12th, Passed from Rajasthan Education Board. (For Graduation Level)
- 60% Marks un Class 12th, Passed from CBSE. (For Graduation Level)
- 45% Marks in Class 10th, Passed from Rajasthan Education Board. (For Diploma Level)
- 55% Marks in Class 10th, Passed from CBSE. (For Diploma Level)
Girl Student’s Family Annual Income is not more than Rs. 8 Lakh per year.

Ineligibility Criteria

Government of Rajasthan sets the following ineligibility criteria of Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana, if any girl student falls under any of the below-mentioned category, then she is not eligible to receive a free electric scooty under this scheme :-
- Beneficiary of Kalibai Bheel Scooty Scheme.
- Beneficiary of Devnarayan Scooty Scheme.
- If the Annual Income is more than Rs. 8 Lakh per year.
- If not a student of Engineering or a Diploma Course.

Eligible Colleges/ Universities

Girl Students studying in any of the below-mentioned colleges or universities are only eligible to get a free electric scooter under Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana :-
- Government Engineering University.
- Engineering Colleges under the State Technical University.
- State Technical Universities.
- Government Polytechnic.
- Women’s Polytechnic College.

Documents Required to be Attached

Girl Students will have to upload the below documents on the Rajasthan SSO Portal at the time of applying for the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana of the Government of Rajasthan :-
- Self-attested copy of College/ University Fees Slip.
- Jan Aadhaar Card.
- Self-attested copy of Class 10th and Class 12th Marksheet and Passing Certificate.
- Family Income Certificate. (Not Older than 6 months)
- Caste Certificate.
- Domicle of Rajasthan.
- Mobile Number and Gmail.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

Eligible Girl Students can apply to get a free-of-cost scooty under Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana through the Online Application Form.
Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana Online Application Form is available on the Rajasthan Single Sign On Portal.
Visit Rajasthan SSO and Register yourself first with Jan Aadhaar Number or Gmail.
The portal will send the Username and Password through Email.
Login on the Rajasthan SSO Portal and search for Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana.
Select Scheme and Click on Apply Online.
Enter the Family Jan Aadhaar Number and Click on Search.
Choose the Family Member Name, and the Portal will verify the Jan Aadhaar Number through OTP authentication.
Fill Personal Details, Contact Details, School and College Details in Kalpana Chawla Girl Electric Two Wheeler Distribution Scheme.
Upload all the required documents on the portal.
Click on the checkbox to confirm the filled details and click on the Submit Button.
Respective College/ University of Girl Student will verify the submitted application form and documents.
College/ University will make a list of eligible girl students, certify it with a stamp and signature, and send it tothe Directorate of Technical Education, Jodhpur.
Rajasthan Government’s Directorate of Technical Education will reverify the Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana Selected Girl Student list and forward it to the Department of Technical Education, Jaipur, for final approval.
Free of Cost, Electric Scooty will be distributed to selected girl students under the Rajasthan Government’s Kalpana Chawla Scooty Distribution Scheme through their college/ university or at public function.
