Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Samadhan Yojana 2025: A Brief Insight

• Madhya Pradesh Government launched Samadhan Yojana for the electricity consumers of the State on 03-11-2025.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to provide relief to electricity consumers by providing them a rebate on the pending high surcharge amount.
• Samadhan Yojana in Madhya Pradesh will be implemented by the three major power distribution companies of the State, which are :-
  • Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitarana Company Limited.
  • Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited.
  • Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited.
• Through this initiative, the Madhya Pradesh Government will provide a rebate (discount) on the surcharge amount of pending electricity bills.
• Rebate on Surcharge Amount under the Samadhan Yojana will be applicable from 50% to 100%.
• Madhya Pradesh Government will implement the Samadhan Scheme in the state in two phases.
• The first phase of this scheme will start from 03-11-2025 and ends on 31-12-2025 in which if any consumer pay their pending electricity bill principal amount then they can avail the benefit of rebate on surcharge amount from 60% to 100%.
• The second phase of the Samadhan Yojana of Madhya Pradesh will start from 01-01-2026 and end on 25-02-2026.
• If any consumer pay their electricity bill from 01-01-2026 to 25-02-2026 then they can avail the benefit of rebate on surcharge amount from 50% to 90%.
• Madhya Pradesh Government has also provided a facility in which a electricity consumer can pay the amount of their electricity bill in 6 easy installments and can also avail the benefit of rebate on surcharge amount under Samadhan Yojana.
• All Domestic, Non-Domestic, Commercial, Agricultural and Industrial Electricity Bills that are pending for more than 3 months are eligible for a rebate on the pending surcharge amount under the Samadhan Scheme of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• The government estimates that around 90 lakh electricity consumers will get the benefit of a rebate under this scheme and more than Rs. 3,000/- crore will be waived off.
• To avail the benefit of rebate on surcharge amount under Samadhan Scheme of Government of MP, consumer can visit the office of electricity distribution company to pay bill amount or can pay the amount of bill online through their official websites.
• Beneficiary Consumers can visit their nearest electricity company officer or can call on 1912 in case any help or assistance is required regarding Samadhan Yojana of the MP Government.
• Female Family Members of the consumer can also apply for “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana” in which monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- will be provided by Madhya Pradesh Government.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Madhya Pradesh Government under its Samadhan Yojana 2025-2026, will provide the following benefits to all electricity consumers of the state :-
  • Rebate on the Surcharge Amount of the Electricity Bill.
  • If the Principal Amount of Electricity Bill will be paid from 03-11-2025 to 31-12-2025, then the rebate on surcharge amount will be 60% to 100%.
  • If the Principal Amount of Electricity Bill will be paid from 01-01-2026 to 28-02-2026, then the rebate on surcharge amount will be 50% to 90%.
  • Maximum Rebate on Surcharge will be provided on a one-time payment of the Electricity Bill.
  • Consumers can also pay the electricity bill in 6 easy instalments.
  • For Registration, Domestic and Agricultural consumers will have to pay 10% of the due amount.
  • For Commercial and Industrial Consumer, 25% amount of the pending bill will be submitted for registration.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Rebate on the pending surcharge amount on electricity bills will be provided by the Madhya Pradesh Government to only those consumers who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of the Samadhan Yojana :-
  • There should be a pending electricity bill of more than 3 months.
  • Electricity Bill should have a pending surcharge amount on it.
  • Domestic, Commercial, Agricultural and Industrial Electricity Bills are Eligible for Rebate.
  • Rebate on Surcharge Amount will only be applicable from 03-11-2025 to 28-02-2026.

• The following documents will be required at the time of availing the benefit of a rebate of the surcharge amount on the electricity bill under the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Samadhan Yojana :-
  • Latest Electricity Bill.
  • Aadhaar Card of the Applicant.

How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Electricity Consumers of Madhya Pradesh can avail the benefit on surcharge amount of electricity bill under Samadhan Yojana through the following mentioned ways.
  • Offline through Visiting the Electricity Department Office.
  • Online through the Official Websites of Vidyut Vitaran Companies.

Offline through the Electricity Department Office

• Beneficiary Consumer will have to visit their area and the nearest electricity company office with the latest pending electricity bill.
• Reach to the bill payment counter and ask the officials to settle your electricity bill with the surcharge amount under Samadhan Yojana.
• If the consumer decided to pay the complete principal amount of electricity bill then they will eligible to receive the benefit of rebate from 60% to 100% on the surcharge amount of the bill.
• And, if the consumer decided to pay the amount of electricity bill in 6 installments then they will first have to submit the minimum amount of bill which is 10% of total pending amount in case of domestic or agricultural electricity connection and 25% in case of commercial or industrial electricity connection.
• Choose any one of the above mentioned method and settle the pending surcharge amount of electricity bill under Samadhan Yojana of Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• Call on 1912 in case any help or assistance is required.

Online through the Websites of Electricity Companies

• There are three main electricity distribution companies in Madhya Pradesh.
• The first one is “Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited” and the second one is “Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitarana Company Limited” and the last one is “Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited”.
• Each electricity company has its official website through which beneficiary electricity consumer can avail the benefit of Madhya Pradesh Government’s Samadhan Yojana.
• Visit your electricity distribution company’s official website of choose Samadhan Yojana 2025-2026.
  
• Enter your LT or HT connection number and click on search.
• Portal will verify the electricity connection and show the details of the pending amount of the bill.
• Consumer will have to pay the bill online through Net Banking, UPI, Debit or Credit Card.
• As per the date, the portal will automatically calculate the amount of rebate applicable on the surcharge of the electricity bill.
• Pay the amount of electricity bill and avail the benefit of rebate of 50% to 100% on the surcharge amount pending on electricity bill.
• The benefit of the Samadhaan Yojana of the Government of Madhya Pradesh is only applicable to those electricity bill payments that are cleared on or before 28-02-2026.
