Introduction of Arundhati Gold Scheme: A Brief Insight

  • Marriage is the most expensive affair in anyone’s life.
  • And if Marriage is of Girls, then you need a treasure to spend these days.
  • Lots of low-income family groups face difficulties in bearing the expenses of marriage of their girl.
  • To help those families, the Government of Assam started a major welfare scheme for the welfare of Brides of the State of Assam.

  • The only way to apply for the Assam Arundhati Gold Scheme is through Online Application Form.
  • Online Application Form is available on Assam Arundhati Gold Scheme Portal.
  • Before applying, Marriage Registration is necessary for this scheme.
  • Fill the below mentioned details in the Arundhati Gold Scheme Online Application Form :-
    • Caste/ Tribe Selection.
    • Families Annual Income.
    • District and Sub Registrar Office Name.
    • Bride and Bride Groom Personal Details.
    • Details of Bank Account.

Key Features of Scheme

  • Financial Assistance to purchase gold will only be given to those brides who have their first marriage takes place.
  • Passing the class 10th is mandatory to avail the benefit of the Arundhati Gold Scheme.
  • But there is an exception for Tea Tribe and Adivasi Community as they do not need any education documents to apply for Assam Arundhati Gold Scheme.
  • In the initial phase of this scheme, the Government of Assam was given financial assistance of Rs. 30,000/- (Thirty Thousand Rupees Only)
  • But then when the gold price hikes, the financial assistance to purchase gold is also increased to Rs. 40,000/- (Forty Thousand Rupees Only).
  • Concerned Authorities will have to accept or reject the applications received under the Arundhati Gold Scheme within 7 Days.
  • Inspector General of Registration, Government of Assam, will be the responsible authority to transfer the financial assistance.
