Introduction of Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Bihar Government started lots of welfare scheme to boost employment opportunities for youth of state.
• One of the major welfare scheme for less educated youth is “Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana”.
• The main aim behind starting this scheme is to fill the distance gaps between blocks and district headquarters by providing transportation in private hands.
• This scheme will also generate employment opportunities among youths who are unskilled or less educated.
• Bihar Government’s Transport Department is the implementing department of this scheme.
• This scheme is also known in Bihar by some other major names such as “Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Scheme” or “Chief Minister Prakhand Parivahan Scheme” or “मुख्यमंत्री प्रखंड परिवहन योजना” or “Bihar Chief Minister Block Transportation Scheme”.
• Bihar Government will now provide its financial support to those youths who are willing and interested to purchase bus or mini bus to run it for public transport purpose.
• Subsidy of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rs. 5 lakh) under Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana will be provided to all eligible youth to purchase bus or mini bus for self employment.
• Class 10th Passed and above 18 Years of Age Youth are eligible to apply for subsidy under this scheme.
• No Government employee is eligible to get benefits of this scheme.
• Valid Driving License is mandatorily required in order to avail the benefit of subsidy of Rs. 5 Lakh on the purchase of mini bus or bus under Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana.
• After getting subsidy in this scheme, beneficiary does not have right to sell out his/her vehicle for 5 years after the date of purchase.
• There is also provision of reservation for SC, ST, OBC, BC and OBC Applicants.
• Beneficiary will have to operate the bus or mini bus on the same block route where he/she is currently living.
• Interested Applicants can fill the Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana and avail the benefit of subsidy of Rs. 5 lakh on the purchase of new bus.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Beneficiaries selected under Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana of Bihar Government will get the following benefits under this scheme :-
  • Government Financial Support as Subsidy will be Provided to Purchase Bus or Mini Bus.
  • Subsidy of Rs. 5,00,000/- will be provided to Eligible Beneficiaries to Purchase Bus.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Bihar Government will provide subsidy of Rs. 5,00,000/- to purchase new bus or mini bus to those beneficiaries who fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana :-
  • Bihar’s Permanent Resident People are Eligible to Apply.
  • Age of Beneficiary Applicant should be above 18 years.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should have Class 10th Passed.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should have valid Driving License.
  • Beneficiary Applicant shoul not be a Government Employee.

• Following documents will have to be uploaded on the portal at the time of applying for subsidy to purchase bus or mini bus under Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana of Bihar Government :-
  • Residence Proof of Bihar or Domicile.
  • Caste Certificate of Beneficiary.
  • Class 10th Marksheet or Certificate.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Aadhar Card.
  • Mobile Number and Email.

How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible and Interested Beneficiaries can apply for subsidy on the purchase of Bus or Mini Bus under Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana of Bihar Government by applying through Online Application Form.
• Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana Online Application Form is available on the main website of Bihar Government in Transport Department Section.
• Choose Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana from Website.
  
• Then Click on Apply Online.
  
• After that Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana Registration Form will appear.
  
• Fill Phone Number, Choose Password, Re-Enter Password, Email Address and Driving Licence in the Registration Form.
• After Registration, Login again with the help of Username (Mobile Number) and Chosen Password.
  
• Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana Online Application Form will appear after Login.
• Fill personal details, vehicle details, educational details and contact details in the Application Form.
• Upload all the required documents.
• Preview the Application Form and then Click on Submit Button to submit it.
• Take a print out and save it for future references.
• Submitted Application Forms of Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana will be scrutinized by the official of Transport Department.
• Committee will select the beneficiaries according to the set preferences.
• After that beneficiaries has to purchase the bus or mini bus according to their choices and then submit relevant documents in District Transport Office for grant of subsidy.
• Selected Beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana will then receive subsidy amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- directly in their bank account.
• Bihar Government’s Mukhyamantri Prakhand Parivahan Yojana Application Status can also be checked by Login in the beneficiary account.
