Introduction of Haryana Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Haryana Government started a new welfare scheme for women on the auspicious eve of Hariyali Teej.
• Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana (हरियाणा हर घर हर गृहिणी योजना) is launched in the whole of Haryana on 12-08-2024.
• The main aim of the government in starting this scheme is to provide some relief to low-income group families from the rising prices of LPG Gas Cylinders.
• Haryana Government’s Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs is the implementing department of this scheme.
• The other important known names of this yojana are “Haryana Har Ghar Har Grihni Scheme” or “Haryana Har Ghar Har Grahani Scheme” or “Haryana Har Ghar Har Grahani Yojana”.
• Haryana Government will now provide Domestic LPG Gas Cylinders only at Rs. 500/- to all eligible families under Har Ghar Har Grihanni Yojana.
• Every year, beneficiary families can avail the benefit of a subsidy on 12 LPG gas cylinders under this scheme.
• Subsidy will be provided on the purchase of domestic gas cylinder, the cylinder will not be purchased at Rs. 500/- at the time of delivery.
• Beneficiary family will have to purchase the gas cylinder at an actual price then the Haryana Government will deduct Rs. 500/- and reimburse the remaining amount in the bank account of the beneficiary as a subsidy.
• Only Domestic LPG Gas cylinders of 14.2 Kg are eligible for subsidy under this scheme, no commercial LPG connections are eligible to apply.
• Gas cylinders at Rs. 500/- will not be provided to all families of Haryana.
• Families having BPL Ration Card or Antyodaya Ration Card and having Gas Connection of PM Ujjwala Yojana are only get LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Har Ghar Har Grihni Scheme of Haryana Government.
• It is to be estimated that around 1,500/- crores will be spent on this scheme and more than 50 lakh families will get benefit.
• Reimbursement of Subsidy will be transferred in the bank account of eldest female member of a family to promote women empowerment.
• In case of no female member above 18 years of age, the LPG Gas Subsidy provided under Har Ghar Har Grahani Yojana will be credited in the eldest male member’s account.
• Beneficiary Families cannot apply for Har Ghar Har Grihani Scheme if they don’t have a Parivar Pehchan Patra/ Family ID.
• Registration in Har Ghar Har Grihani Scheme can be done through Official Portal of the scheme.
• Women Beneficiaries can also apply for “Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana” in which monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,100/- per month be provided to all eligible applicants.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Haryana Government will provide the following benefits to women belonging to BPL Family/ Antyodaya Family under its newly announced Har Ghar Har Grihni Yojana :-
  • Per Month Subsidy on the Purchase of a Domestic LPG Gas Cylinder will be provided.
  • The Cost of Gas Cylinder after Subsidy will be Rs. 500/-.
  • One Family can avail a subsidy on 12 Gas Cylinders per Year.
  • Subsidy Amount will be directly reimbursed in the Bank Account of the Beneficiary.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Domestic LPG Gas Cylinder (14.2 KG) at Rs. 500/- will be provided to only those families who completed the following eligibility conditions of Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana which is set by the Haryana Government :-
  • Women beneficiaries should be Permanent residents of Haryana.
  • Women should have BPL/ Antoydaya Ration Card.
  • Women should have a PM Ujjwala Yojana Domestic Gas Connection.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Following documents have to be mandatorily uploaded on the portal at the time of applying for the benefits of LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana :-
  • Aadhar Card of Women.
  • Copy of Bank Passbook.
  • Bank Account Number.
  • Family ID. (Parivar Pehchan Patra)
  • Antyodaya Ration Card or BPL Card.
  • Domestic LPG Gas Connection Book.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Applications to apply for a Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana can be submitted through Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form is available on the Portal of Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana.
• Open Official Portal.
  
• Choose Registration Form for Har Ghar Har Grihnni Yojana.
  
• Having Aadhar Card or Family ID is mandatory in order to apply for this scheme.
• Beneficiary has to enter their Family ID (Parivar Pehchan Patra) and verify it through OTP.
  
• Portal will fetch the details from Family ID after verification.
• Now, Select the Beneficiary who has a gas connection in her name.
• Thereafter fill in personal and contact information, Bank Account Details, and Domestic LPG Gas Connection Details in the Online Application Form of Har Ghar Har Grahini Yojana.
• Upload the required documents on the portal.
• Carefully check the details, fill in the captcha code, and submit the application form.
• Application Form and Documents are subject to verification.
• Concerned Department will scrutinize the received application form and documents.
• List of Women Selected to receive a Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- under Har Ghar Har Grahini Yojana will be made.
• SMS will be sent on their registered mobile number about their selection and rejection.
• Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana is a subsidy scheme so women beneficiaries will have to purchase the gas cylinder at its original price first.
• After that Haryana Government deducts Rs. 500/- from the actual price and reimburses the remaining amount in the bank account of beneficiary.
• Application Status of Har Ghar Har Grahini Yojana can be seen on the portal with the help of Family ID. (Parivar Pehchan Patra)
• Also, Complaint can also be filed on the portal about Har Ghar Har Grihani Yojana.
