Introduction of Haryana Khiladi Bima Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Haryana State is well known for its sports players, including Neeraj Chopra, Sakshi Malik, Geeta Phogat, Babita Phogat, Bajrang Punia, and many more.
- Sports Players from Haryana won lots of National medals for their State and Lots of medals for India in International Events and made our country proud.
- But there is also a time when sports players suffer injuries during games which are critical most of the time.
- Some of them face financial challenges in coping with the injury and have difficult for them to return on field after recovery.
- Keeping these hardships in mind,the Haryana Government announced a new scheme for Sports Players in the State Budget of the year 2025-2026.
- The name of the scheme is “Khiladi Bima Yojana”.
- Haryana Government’s Sports Department will be the implementing department of this scheme.
- The main objective of the Haryana Government behind announcing this scheme is to ensure that sports players of the State do not face any financial challenges during emergencies/injuries.
- The government will now provide free of cost medical insurance to all eligible sports players of Haryana State.
- Medical Insurance Cover of Rs. 20/- Lakh under the Khiladi Bima Yojana of the Haryana Government will be provided to National Level Medal Winner and Players participating in International Events.
- Full Premium Amount of Insurance Cover will be paid by Haryana Government.
- So in case of any injury or emergency faced by Sports Players during games, they can claim up to Rs. 20/- Lakh Medical Expenses under Khiladi Bima Yojana of Haryana Government.
- After the implementation, this scheme will going to known by some other popular names which are “Khiladi Bima Scheme Haryana” or “Khiladi Beema Scheme Haryana” or “Haryana Sports Player Medical Insurance Scheme”.
- This scheme will be implemented by Haryana Government from the year 2025-2026.
- Application Form, Remaining Eligibility, and Remaining Benefits will be released with the official guidelines of Khiladi Bima Yojana.
- Sports Players will have to wait until its implementation in order to get medical insurance cover of Rs. 20,00,000/-.

- All Eligible Sports Players will get the following benefits under the Khiladi Bima Yojana of the Government of Haryana:-
- Free of Cost Medical Insurance Coverage.
- Sports Players will get Rs. 20/- Lakh Medical Coverage.
- Insurance Premium will be paid by Haryana Government.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Free of Cost Medical Coverage of Rs. 20/- Lakh under Khiladi Bima Yojana by the Haryana Government will provided to only those players who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-
- Permanent Resident Sports Players of Haryana are Eligible.
- Sports Players should be a National Level Medal Winner.
- Sports Players Participating at International Events are also Eligible.
- Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be released after its launch.
Documents Required to be Attached
- Players will have to submit the following expected documents with Khiladi Bima Yojana Application Form in order to get Medical Coverage of Rs. 20/- Lakh :-
- Domicile or Residence Proof of Haryana.
- Player Aadhaar Card.
- Parivaar Pehchaan Patra.
- Certificate from Sports Department.
How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- CM of Haryana Shri Nayab Singh Saini presented the State Budget for the year 2025-2026 on 17-03-2025.
- Khiladi Bima Yojana is one of the major announcements announced by the Haryana Chief Minister.
- This is just an announcement yet and will going to implemented in the year 2025-2026.
- Government has not revealed the Application Process of Khiladi Bima Yojana.
- Sports Department of the Haryana Government will draft the guidelines for this scheme and present in front of the Cabinet for approval.
- Khiladi Bima Yojana will be implemented in the whole of Haryana once the cabinet gives its approval.
- If the mode of application is offline then the Khiladi Bima Yojana Offline Application Form will be available in the Office of the District Sports Officer.
- And if the application mode is Online then Khiladi Bima Yojana Official Website might launch by Haryana Government.
