Haryana Government under its Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana will provide free driving skill/ E Rickshaw Driving Training and a subsidy of up to 50% on the purchase of E Rickshaw to all eligible women applicants of the state.

Introduction of Haryana Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Haryana Government announced on 14-10-2025 to launch to Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana (हरियाणा नारी ई-रिक्शा स्वावलंबन योजना) in the State.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to make economically deprived women self-reliant and financially independent.
• Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana will be implemented by the Women and Child Development Department of the Haryana Government in collaboration with Women Development Corporation Limited.
• Through this initiative, the Government of Haryana will now provide the Driving Skill Program/ E Rickshaw Driving Training of 10 days free of cost to all eligible women of the State.
• Apart from the e-rickshaw driving training, subsidy on the purchase of E Rickshaw for self-employment will also be provided by the Haryana Government under Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana.
• Women Beneficiaries having an age between 18 to 45 years and belonging to BPL, Widow, Divorcee or whose annual family income is not more than Rs. 3 lakh are eligible under this scheme to avail the benefits.
• A subsidy of 50% of the cost of the E Rickshaw will be provided to those women applicants who belong to the BPL, Divorcee and Widow categories.
• And, a subsidy of 30% of the cost of the E Rickshaw will be provided to those beneficiary women whose family income is less than 3 lakh per year.
• It is mandatory to have passed Class 8th to avail the benefits of the Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana of the Haryana Government.
• Online Applications will be started when the Women Development Corporation Limited issues an advertisement in the public domain.
• Government of Haryana’s Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana Online Application Form will then be available on the WDCL website.
• A benefit of subsidy on the purchase of E Rickshaw will be provided to only 1,000 women applicants, out of which subsidy on 400 E Rickshaws will be provided to BPL Category Women, subsidy on 100 E Rickshaws will be provided to Divorced and Widow Applicants and the subsidy on the remaining 500 E Rickshaws will be provided to other category applicant women.
• Women Beneficiaries of Haryana can also apply for “Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana” in which monthly financial assistance will be provided to all eligible applicants.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Haryana Government under its Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana will provide the following benefits to all eligible applicant women of the State:-
  

  Free of Cost Driving Skill/ E-Rickshaw driving Training will be provided to selected Women. Skill Training will be provided for 10 days. The government will also provide a subsidy on the purchase of an E Rickshaw. The following subsidy on the purchase of E Rickshaw will be provided as per the category of the applicant women :- For BPL and Widow/ Divorcee Applicant Women :- 50% of the Cost of the E Rickshaw. For those Women whose Annual Family Income is up to Rs. 3 lakh :- 30% of the Cost of the E Rickshaw. The number of E Rickshaws provided under this scheme is :- 400 to BPL Women Applicants. 100 to Divorced or Widowed Women Applicant. 500 to the other category of women applicants.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Driving Skill Training and subsidy on the purchase of e-rickshaw will be provided to only those applicants who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of the Government of Haryana’s Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana :-
  

  Permanent Resident Applicant Women of Haryana are Eligible to Apply. The Age of Beneficiary Women should be between 18 years to 45 years. Beneficiary Applicant Women should have a minimum Class 8th passed. The Annual Family Income of the Applicant should be :- Up to Rs. 1,80,000/- per year for BPL Families. Up to Rs. 3,00,000/- per year for Other Category Applicant. No Income Limit is required for widows and divorcees. One woman per Family is Eligible to receive a subsidy on the purchase of an E Rickshaw.

• The following documents will be required at the time of applying for the benefits of Haryana Government’s Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana :-
  • Residence Proof of Haryana.
  • Aadhaar Card of the Women Applicant.
  • Parivar Pehchan Patra. (PPP ID)
  • Mobile Number.
  • Driving License.
  • Bank Account Details.
  • BPL Card.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Interested and Eligible Women applicants can apply for driving skill training and subsidy on the purchase of e-rickshaw under Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana ofthe  Haryana Government by filling the Online Application Form.
• Haryana Government’s Women Development Corporation Limited will issue an advertisement and ask the eligible women applicants to fill the online application form.
• Online Application Form of Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana of Haryana Government is available on the Official Website of Women Development Corporation Limited.
• Fill Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana Online Application Form and upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Check all the filled details and submit the form.
• Submitted Online Application Form of Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Scheme along with its documents will be verified by the District Level Selection Committee.
• Selection of the beneficiaries will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The list of eligible and selected women applicants will then be forwarded to the respective department for further approval.
• Women Beneficiaries selected under Nari E Rickshaw Swavalamban Yojana will then receive free driving skill training and subsidy on the purchase of E Rickshaw for self-employment.
