Introduction of Rajasthan Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana was started by the Government of Rajasthan in the year 2019.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to encourage meritorious girl students to complete their education and to pursue for higher education.
• This scheme is implemented by the Education Department of the Rajasthan Government.
• Rajasthan Government will facilitate the girl topper students of the state to boost their morale to do better in the field of education.
• Girl Students who passed the board examination of Class 8^th, Class 9^th, and Class 12^th and topped their respective districts are eligible under the Indira Priyadarshini Yojana of the Rajasthan Government.
• Every stream topper girl students i.e., Arts, Commerce, Science and Sanskrit, will be selected separately.
• The benefits which are provided to meritorious girl students under Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana by the Rajasthan Government are as follows :-

• The topper of Class 12^th will get the additional benefit of a Scooty along with one-time financial assistance.
• A girl student must take admission in the ongoing class to continue her studies.
• Benefits under the Indira Priyadarshi Award Scheme will only be applicable to those girl students who belong to 8 social categories, which are SC, ST, General, SBC, OBC, PH, Minorities and BPL.The
• Application Form of Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana will be submitted through the District Education Officer. (DEO)
• Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana Winner List will be announced by the Education Department of the Rajasthan Government.
• The government will distribute the awards along with scooties to all eligible meritorious and topper girl students on 19^th of November, which is the birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister, the Iron Lady, Late Smt. Indira Gandhi Ji.
• Beneficiary Girl Students can contact their District Education Officer (DEO) for any type of help regarding this scheme.
• Girl Students can also go through the other major welfare schemes of Rajasthan Government, which are “Kalapan Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana”, “Lado Protsahan Yojana” and “Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Meritorious and Topper Girl Students of Class 8^th, Class 9^th and Class 12^th will get the following benefits from the Rajasthan Government under its Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana :-
  • District Topper of Class 8^th will get Rs. 40,000/-.
  • District Topper of Class 9^th will get Rs. 75,000/-.
  • District Topper of Class 12^th will get Rs. 1,00,000/- and a Scooty.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Rajasthan Government will only provide benefits of Indira Priyadashini Puraskar Yojana to those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  

  Permanent Resident Girl Students of Rajasthan are Eligible. Meritorious Girl Student should have topped her District in any one of the following board exams :- Class 8th. Class 10th. Class 12th. Topper Girl Student should be currently studying in any one of the following class :- Class 9th. Class 11th. Graduation 1st Year. Meritorious Girl Student should belong to any of the below-mentioned social category :- Scheduled Caste. Scheduled Tribe. General. Other Backward Class. Socially Backward Class. Physically Handicapped. Below Poverty Line. Minorities. Awards under Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana will be provided separately to Arts, Commerce, Science and Sanskrit Streams.

  • Any Residence Proof of Rajasthan.
  • Girl Student’s Aadhaar Card.
  • Parents/Guardians Identity Proof.
  • Board Exam Result as per Class.
  • Bank Account Details with IFSC Code. (Head of the Family or Parents)
  • Certificate of Caste. (As per Social Category)
  • Proof of Current Admission in School or College.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Application Process of the Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana of the Rajasthan Government is very simple.
• Topper Girl Students can take the application form of the Indira Priyadarshini Award Yojana from their respective school or from the Directorate of School Education.
• In case of non-availability of application form, a list of eligible girl students will be made by the Directorate of Secondary Education and sent to the District Education Officer (DEO) for further verification.
• If the beneficiary girl students collect the form, then she will have to fill it correctly and attach all the required documents with it.
• Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana Application Form along with all the documents, will be submitted to the officer of the Directorate of Secondary Education or directly in the office of the District Education Officer.
• District Education Officer will verify the received application forms and enter the details of eligible girl students on the Beneficiary Scheme Portal through his/ her DEO Login.
• DEO will finally submit the details of their respective district topper girl students in every stream and forward it to department for further approval.
• The department will further make the Winner List of Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana and inform the girl students about their selection.
• Benefits of the Indira Priyadarshini Awards Scheme of the Rajasthan Government will be distributed among selected girl students on 19^th of November every year on the birth anniversary of Late Smt. Indira Gandhi Ji.
