Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Madhya Pradesh Government had started Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana (मध्य प्रदेश मुख्यमंत्री डेयरी प्लस योजना) in the state on 29th of September 2022.
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to increase the milk production in the state by encouraging farmers to purchase 2 high genetic quality pregnant Murrah buffaloes.
• Madhya Pradesh Government’s Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department is the implementing department of this scheme.
• Livestock Farmers will now receive the benefit of a subsidy on the purchase cost of 2 high genetic Murrah baffaloes under Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana.
• Madhya Pradesh Government divided the beneficiaries into two categories through the percentage of subsidy is decided.
• In the first category, General and Other Backwards Class category applicants will receive the 50% subsidy on the purchase of 2 murrah buffaloes, the remaining 50% will be the beneficiary contribution.
• The estimated cost of the purchase of 2 Murrah Buffaloes is around Rs. 2,95,000/-, so the contribution of the beneficiary would be Rs. 1,47,500/-.
• The second category is of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Applicants, they will receive 75% on the purchase of 2 Murrah buffalo.
• The SC and ST category applicants will have to contribute 25% of the purchase cost, which amounts to around Rs. 73,700/-
• Subsidy provided by Madhya Pradesh Government under Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana will be applicable only on the purchase of murrah buffaloes.
• There is no online application process or official website of Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana available right now.
• Beneficiary Applicant will have to collect the Application Form of the CM Dairy Plus Scheme of MP Govt from the Veterinary Officer’s Office or the Veterinary Hospital In-charge Office.
• The amount of subsidy will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary applicant.
• Contact the Gram Sabha Office in case any help or assistance is required regarding Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• Eligible Applicants can also apply for “Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana” in which the government is providing financial support to set up a dairy farm.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Madhya Pradesh Government, under its Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana will provide the following benefits to all eligible applicants :-
  • Subsidy will be provided on the Purchase of Murrah Buffaloes.
  • 50% Subsidy is applicable on the purchase of 2 Murrah Bread Buffalo for General and OBC Category Applicants.
  • 75% Subsidy is applicable on the purchase of 2 Murrah Bread Buffalo for SC and ST Category Applicants.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The benefit of the subsidy on the purchase of 2 Murrah Buffaloes will be provided by the Madhya Pradesh Government to only those beneficiaries who fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana :-
  • Permanent Resident Applicant of Madhya Pradesh is Eligible.
  • Applicant should belong to the General, OBC, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories.
  • Applicant should have Shed availability to maintain buffaloes.
  • Subsidy will only be provided on the purchase of 2 Murrah Buffaloes.

• The following documents will have to be submitted with the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana of the Government of Madhya Pradesh :-
  • Madhya Pradesh Residence Proof.
  • Certificate of Caste.
  • SAMAGRA ID.
  • Recent Colour Passport Photo.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Infrastructure Details.
  • Mobile Number.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• A subsidy from 50% to 75% on the cost of purchase of 2 murrah buffaloes can be obtained under Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana by applying through the Offline Application Form.
• Application Form of Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana is available free of cost at any of the below mentioned government offices :-
  • Veterinary Officer’s Office.
  • Veterinary Hospital In-Charge Office.
  • Deputy Director of Veterinary Services Office.
  • Animal Dispensary Officer Office.
• Beneficiary Applicant will have to collect the Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana Application Form from any of the above-mentioned offices.
• Fill the Application Form carefully without making any mistakes and attach all the required documents with it.
• Submit the Application Form in the same office from where the application form was collected and take an acknowledgement receipt.
• Respected Officials of the Gram Panchayat will initially verify the received application form of the Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Scheme of the Madhya Pradesh Government.
• The list of applicants who are eligible and selected for subsidy will be forwarded to Janpad Panchayat for further verification.
• The final approval will be provided by the District Panchayat Agricultural Standing Committee.
• Applicant will receive the amount of subsidy directly in their bank account after purchasing 2 Murrah buffaloes under Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana.
• The Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus Yojana Application Status can be checked by visiting the Gram Sabha Office.
