Introduction of Scheme

On 28th of June 2024 Government of Maharashtra presents its supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-2025.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Maharashtra Shri Ajit Pawar announced lots of welfare scheme.
One the major announced was “Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme”.
Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme is officially launched by Government of Maharashtra on 17-08-2024.
The main objective of Maharashtra Government behind launching this scheme is to make women financially self independent and self reliant.
Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra Government is the responsible department of this scheme.
This scheme has some other major names also which arer “Chief Minister My Beloved Sister Scheme” or “Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme” or “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme” or “Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana”.
Government of Maharashtra will now provide the financial assistance on monthly basis to all eligible women of state.
Under Maharashtra Government’s CM Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme all women beneficiaries will get a financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month.
Only those women beneficiary are eligible to apply whose age is between 21 years to 65 years.
And if the family annual income of women is more than Rs. 2,50,000/- then she is not eligible to avail the benefit of per month financial assistance under Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme.
Rs. 46,000/- crore is allocated by Maharashtra Government for the implementation of Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme.
2.5 crore women is expected to get benefitted by Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme of Maharashtra Government.
Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme is going to start from 1st July 2024.
The last date to apply for Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme is 31st of August 2024.
This scheme is launched on 17-08-2024 and all registered and selected women beneficiary will get Rs. 3000/- (for July and August) on 17-08-2024 as promised by Government under Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme.
From next month onwards, financial assistance will regularly credited in the bank account of women every month.

Eligibility Conditions sets by Government

Those Women Beneficiary who fulfill the following eligibility conditions are eligible to apply for monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- under Maharashtra Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme :-

Applicant should be a Women.
Age of Applicant Women should be between 21 Years to 65 Years.
Women should be belong to any of the following category :-
- Married Women.
- Destitute Women.
- Divorced Women.
- Abandoned Women.
- Widowed Women.
Women’s Annual Family Income should be less than Rs. 2.50 Lakh.
Bank Account should be in Women Beneficiary Name.

Ineligibility Conditions of Scheme

If any women beneficiary comes under the ambit of any of the following ineligibility conditions then she is not eligible to apply for monthly financial assistance under Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme :-
- If Family has Four Wheeler at house.
- If there is a Taxpayer in the family of a women.
- If there is a pensioner in the family of a women.
- If the Families Annual Income is more than Rs. 2,50,000/-.
- If Family of a Women has more than 5 Acre of Land.
- If any of the Women family member is Contractual or Government Employee.
- If any of the Family Member is sitting MP/ MLA/ Board Chairman etc.

- Domicile of Maharashtra or Any Residence Proof.
- Aadhar Card of Women Beneficiary.
- 1 Passport Size Photograph.

Offline Application Process

Beneficiary Women can apply for Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme through Offline Application Form.
Offline Application Form of Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme is available free of cost at any of the following offices :-
- District Parishad Office.
- Anganwadi Centre.
- Child Development Project Officer Office.
- District Program Officer Office.
Collect the Chief Minister Mazhi Ladki Bahin Scheme Application Form from any of the offices.
Fill the details in application form neatly and correctly.
Attach all the required documents with the application form.
Submit the Application Form along with all the documents in the Anganwadi Centre or in the office of CDPO/ DPO.
