Mahila Samman Saving Certificate Scheme of Indian Government is started with an aim to encourage women girls to save more so that they can earn more on that savings. Government of India will now provide 7.50% return as an interest on saving under Mahila Samman Saving Certificate Scheme. Beneficiary Women and Girl can open their saving account under this scheme at their nearest post office and avail the benefit of this scheme.

    • Maximum Period of Deposit is 2 Years.
    • Also have the facility to withdraw the amount prematurely i.e before 2 Years.

Eligibility Conditions for Women Beneficiary

  • The following Eligibility Criteria is set by the Government of India to avail the benefit of Mahila Samman Saving Certificate Scheme are as follows :-
    • Indian Residents.
    • Only Women and Girls are Eligible to Apply.
    • Minors are also Eligible to Apply.
    • Maximum Deposit Limit is Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakh Rupees Only)
    • Minimum Deposit Amount is Rs. 1,000/- and further in a multiple of Rs. 100/-.

  • The interest credited will be compounded quarterly on the deposits.
  • After one year, beneficiary are eligible to withdraw the 40 percent of her deposit amount prematurely.

  • But under unavoidable circumstances like death of beneficiary or as thinks fit by the post office, the account will be closed prematurely.
