Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

Government of Punjab under its Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana will provide the following benefits to eligible adult woman:

• Income tax payers: A woman who has paid income tax of Rs. 1 or more in the last financial year is not eligible for this scheme.

Special Features of this Scheme

• No family limit: Every eligible woman in a household receives the benefit separately. There is no restriction on the number of beneficiaries per family.
• Existing pensioners also benefit: Women already receiving any social security pension will also get this monthly payment. The existing pension will not stop.
• No recovery after death: If a beneficiary passes away after receiving a disbursement, the government will not recover that payment from her family. The assumption is that the money was used for the last rites. However, all future payments will be stopped immediately.

Implementation Structure

This scheme operates at two levels:

• State Level: The Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development will manage the overall implementation. The Department of Good Governance and Information Technology will provide all technology support – including mobile apps, MIS dashboards, WhatsApp and SMS communication, and data analytics.
• District Level: Deputy Commissioners in every district will be responsible for the smooth implementation of the scheme and will also handle grievance redressal at the local level.
