Introduction of Rajasthan Prasuti Sahayata Yojana: A Brief Insight

• The job of a construction worker is one of the most insecure jobs in the world.
• Most of the construction workers didn’t have any social as well as financial security throughout their lives.
• Keeping these things in mind, the Rajasthan Government runs a lot of welfare schemes for registered construction workers (Nirman Shramik) of the State.
• One of the major welfare schemes for female construction workers is “Prasuti Sahayata Yojana”.
• The main objective behind starting this scheme is to improve the nutritional status of female construction workers and their newborn child and encourage them to deliver their child in medical institutions.
• This scheme is implemented by the Labour Department of the Rajasthan Government with the help of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
• Rajasthan Government’s Labour Department will provide monetary assistance to all registered female construction workers or the wives of registered male construction workers, popularly known as Nirman Shramik, at the time of birth of their newborn child under the Prasuti Sahayata Scheme.
• A consolidated amount of Rs. 21,000/- for the birth of a girl child and Rs. 20,000/- for the birth of a boy child will be provided in 3 installments under this scheme.
• Prasuti Sahayata Yojana installment distribution stages are mentioned below :-
  • Rs. 5,000/- at the time of Birth of a Newborn Child.
  • Rs. 5,000/- when the child completes 1 year of age and is fully vaccinated.
  • Rs. 11,000/- when the girl child completes 5 years of age and takes admission in school. (For Girl Child)
  • Rs. 10,000/- when a boy child completes 5 years of age and takes admission in school. ((For Male Child)
• It is mandatory for a construction worker to be registered in the Building or Other Construction Worker Welfare Board and the beneficiary should be a regular monthly contributor to the BOCW Welfare Board.
• Financial Assistance under the Prasuti Sahayata Yojana of the Rajasthan Government will only be applicable for institutional deliveries.
• If any female construction worker’s age is less than 20 years, then she is not eligible to get the benefits of Prasooti Sahayata Yojana.
• Beneficiary Applicant will have to submit their application within 180 days from the date of delivery of a child.
• Both online and offline facilities is available for beneficiary construction workers to apply for financial assistance under the Government of Rajasthan’s Prasuti Sahayata Scheme.
• Visit the Rajasthan SSO Portal for online application and collect the application form from the BOCW welfare board office for offline application.
• Beneficiary Applicant can also apply for “Lado Protsahan Yojana” if eligible, which is a replacement of “Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana” of the Rajasthan Government.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• A female Construction worker or the wife of a registered male construction worker will get the following benefits under the Prasuti Sahayata Yojana of the Government of Rajasthan :-
  • Financial Assistance will be provided for the Birth of a Child.
  • Rs. 21,000/- will be provided for the Girl Child Birth.
  • Rs. 20,000/- will be provided for a Boy Child Birth.
  • Assistance will be provided in 3 installments.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Rajasthan Government will provide the benefits of Prasuti Sahayata Yojana to only those applicants who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  • Registered Female Construction Worker or Wife of Registered Male Construction Worker are Eligible.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Rajasthan.
  • The birth of a Child should be in a Hospital or CHC, or any Medical Institute.
  • Benefits will only be applicable for the birth of two children.
  • The age of Female Construction Workers should not be less than 20 years.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should not be a defaulter of the monthly contribution to the BOCW Welfare Board.
  • It is mandatory to apply within 180 days of the date of birth of a child.

Online Application Process

• Online Application Form of Prasuti Sahayata Yojana of the Rajasthan Government is available on the common and dedicated portal for all government services named “Rajasthan Single Sign On Portal”.
• Open sso.rajasthan.gov.in and choose Registration.
• Applicants can register themselves on the Rajasthan SSO Portal through their Email ID or through their Jan Aadhaar Card Number.
  
• SSO portal will send the User Name and Password on the registered Email ID of the Applicant.
• Login with the help of the received User Name or Password.
  
• Search for the Labour Department Management System and click on it.
  
• Choose the BOCW Welfare Board and Click on Apply for Scheme.
  
• BOCW Welfare Board Scheme list will appear from which the beneficiary will have to choose Prasuti Sahayata Yojana. (प्रसूति सहायता योजना)
  
• Prasuti Sahayata Yojana Online Application Form will appear on screen, in whichthe  beneficiary applicant will have to fill the following details :-
  
• Fill in the Bank Account Details correctly.
  
• Beneficiary Applicant will also have to upload any of the Self Declaration Form and Click on Send Request after that.
  
• Application Request of the Beneficiary Female Construction Worker will be verified by the concerned officials of the Building and Other Construction Worker Welfare Board.
• A List of Selected women beneficiaries will be made, and an SMS will be sent to them on their registered mobile number about their selection.
• Financial Assistance as per the stage will be transferred directly into the bank account of the female construction worker, which is promised by the Rajasthan Government under Prasuti Sahayata Yojana.
• Application Status of Prasuti Sahayata Yojana can also be seen on the Rajasthan SSO Portal.

Offline Application Process

• Female Construction Workers can also apply to avail the benefits of Prasuti Sahayat Yojana through an Offline Application Form.
• Collect the Prasuti Sahayata Yojana Application Form from any of the following offices :-
  • District Office of the Labour Department.
  • District Office of BOCW Welfare Board.
• Take the application form and fill it correctly without making any mistakes.
• Attach all the required documents with the application form.
• Submit the Prasuti Sahayata Scheme Application Form along with all the documents in the same district office from which the application form was collected.
