Introduction of SHe-Box: A Brief Insight
- Central Government’s Ministry of Women and Child Development launched the SHe-Box Online Complaint Management System on 29-08-2024.
- SHe-Box stands for Sexual harassment Electronic Box.
- The main objective of the government behind starting SHe-Box Portal is to provide a single and dedicated platform through which working women can easily file their complaints related to sexual harassment.
- In the year 2013, the Indian Government enacted “The Sexual harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act popularly known as the POSH Act.
- This acts main aim is to create a secure and safe workplace environment for women.
- If any working woman faced any kind of sexual harassment at her workplace, then this act provides a safeguard to women to file complaints in front of the Internal Committee/ State Committee.
- Taking one step further, now government has opened up a platform through which aggrieved women can easily file their complaint if they have faced any kind of sexual harassment at their workplace.
- Women working in Central Government, State Government or in the Private Sector can file their complaint through the Sexual harassment Electronic Box (SHe-Box) Website.
- Nodal Officers will allot the complaint to the concerned authority having jurisdiction and direct them to take action on the matter as soon and as strictly as possible.

- Any aggrieved woman who faced sexual harassment at the workplace can register her complaint online through She-Box Official Portal.
- Visit the Official Website and Click on Register Your Complaint.
- A window will appear in which the complainant women will have to choose Register Complaint.
- Then again, a window appears in which the complainant women will have to choose the agency of her employment (Central Government Offices, State Government Offices, Private Sector) :-
