Introduction of Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Card Scheme: A Brief Insight
- BJP announced 25 promises as pre election promises to secure their win the recently concluded Legislative Assembly Elections of 2024.
- As we all know BJP with its Mahayuti Alliance wins the Maharashtra Assembly Election and ready to form the new government.
- So they are obliged to complete all election promises made to the people of Maharashtra.
- One the major announcement was to start “Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Card Scheme” for the youths of Maharashtra.
- Another major pre election promise was “Akshay Anna Yojana”
- It is basically a health care scheme whose main objective is to ensure that the youth of Maharashtra stays fit.
- Annual Health Check Ups will be carried out across Maharashtra in which all eligible youths can participate and know the status of their health.
- All youths of the age group of 18 years to 35 years are eligible to get the facility of Annual Health Check Ups under Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Card Scheme.
- Every eligible youth will get Youth Health Card in order to avail the benefit of this scheme.
- It is not clear yet whether these health check ups are free of cost or Government of Maharashtra will charge any nominal fees.

- The government of Maharashtra will provide the following benefits to all eligible youths under its new scheme named “Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Card Scheme” :-
- Annual Health Check Ups for Youths.
- Youth from Age 18 Years to 35 Years can get their Health Check up done.
- Youth Health Card will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Health Card will only be issued to those youths who fulfill the following eligibility conditions of Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Card Scheme of Government of Maharashtra :-
- Youths of Maharashtra are only Eligible to Apply.
- The Age of Youth should be between 18 years to 35 years.
- Remaining Eligibility Conditions of Scheme will be released after its launch.
