Tripura CM Sath Scheme

Meritorious Students of Class 10th and Class 12th Board Examinations will get a monthly scholarship of Rs. 5,000/- under the CM Sath Scheme of the Tripura Government. 100 Toppers of Class 10th will get a scholarship for 2 years (for Class 11th and Class 12th), and 100 toppers of Class 12th will get a scholarship for 3 years until they complete their graduation degree.

Introduction of CM Sath Scheme Tripura: A Brief Insight

• Tripura Government launched the CM Sath Scheme in the state on 23-09-2024.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to nurture academic excellence and empower bright students to pursue higher education.
• Government’s Directorate of Secondary Education is implementing this scheme in the whole of the State.
• CM Sath Scheme is an acronym a short name of this scheme.
• The full name of this scheme of the Tripura Government is “Chief Minister Scholarship for Achievers Towards Higher Learning” which is also known as “CM Sath Yojana Tripura”.
• This scheme is a scholarship scheme of the Tripura Government through which the Government aims to empower meritorious students by providing them with financial assistance so that they can complete their basic education and pursue higher education.
• Monthly Financial Assistance as a Scholarship will be provided to all eligible meritorious students under the CM Sath Scheme.
• Meritorious students are those who achieve top ranks in the board examinations.
• Under this scheme, the top 100 students from the Class 10th board exams and the top 100 students from the Class 12th board exams will be selected for the scholarship.
• Each meritorious student will get a monthly scholarship amount of Rs. 5,000/- per month under CM Sath Scheme of the Tripura Government.
• Meritorious Students of Class 10th will get Rs. 5,000/- per month for Class 11th and Class 12th i.e. for 2 years.
• Whereas, meritorious students of Class 12th will get Rs. 5,000/- per month for 3 years i.e. till they complete their graduation degree.
• Students who are permanent residents of Tripura and who passed their education from Tripura Government or Government Aided Schools are only eligible to get scholarships under CM Sath Scheme.
• If any student’s annual family income is more than Rs. 2,50,000/- then they are not eligible to get a scholarship under this scheme.
• There will be no direct application procedure or Official Website of the CM Sath Scheme is available.
• The concerned District Education Officer will prepare the list of students as per the board examination result and forward the list to the Directorate of Secondary Education for further approval.
• District Education Officer will collect all essential documents from students and send it with the list of students.
• After final approval, the Directorate of Secondary Education will transfer the assistance amount through DBT mode directly in the bank account of the student.
• Meritorious Girl Beneficiaries can also avail the benefit of “Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana” in which free of cost scooty will be provided.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Government of Tripura will provide the following benefits to Class 10th and Class 12th (Higher Secondary) Meritorious Students under its CM Sath Scheme :-
  • Monthly Financial Assistance will be provided to Meritorious Students of Class 10th and Class 12th.
  • The top 100 Students of Class 10th Board Exams will get Rs. 5,000/- per month for 2 years i.e. for Class 11th and Class 12th.
  • The top 100 Students of Class 12th (Higher Secondary) Board Exams will also get Rs. 5,000/- per month for 3 years till they complete their Graduation Degree.
  • Only 200 Meritorious Students (100 for Class 10th and 100 for Class 12th ) are Eligible for Scholarship under this scheme.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Monthly Scholarship of Rs. 5,000/- per month will be provided by the Tripura Government to only those students who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of the CM Sath Scheme :-
  • The student should be a Permanent Resident of Tripura.
  • Meritorious Students of Class 10th and Class 12th (Higher Secondary) are Eligible for Scholarship.
  • Beneficiary Student should have Passed Class 10th or Class 12th (Higher Secondary) from Government or Government Aided School of Tripura Government. (From Tripura Board of Secondary Education)
  • Annual Family Income of Student should not be more than Rs. 2.50 Lakh per year.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Beneficiary Meritorious Students will have to submit the following attested copies of documents in the office of the District Education Officer in order to avail the benefit of monthly scholarship under the Tripura Government’s CM Sath Scheme :-
  • PRTC. (Permanent Resident Tripura Certificate)
  • Class 10th Board Admit Card. (For Class 10th Student)
  • Class 10th Marksheet. (For Class 10th Student)
  • Class 12th Board Admit Card. (For Class 12th Student)
  • Class 12th Marksheet. (For Class 12th Student)
  • Aadhaar Card of Student.
  • Copy of Bank Passbook linked with Aadhaar Card.
  • Mobile Number.

How Beneficiaries Can Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Students cannot directly apply for the CM Sath Scheme Tripura Government.
• After the board examination results, District Education Officers will prepare a list of meritorious students.
• DEO selected a total of 100 students from the Class 10th board exam results and 100 students fromthe  Class 12th board exam results as per merit rank in the final examination.
• For each Class, DEO will select 76 students from the Block, 6 Students from Nagar Panchayat, 13 Students from Municipal Councils and 5 students from AMC based on population.
• Selected Students will have to submit the attested copies of documents in the office of the District Education Officer once the list is released.
• If any student thinks that their marks are recorded less and they receive higher then in that case they have to submit an application in the office of the Directorate of Secondary Education.
• District Education Officer will finalise the list of eligible students and forward it to the Secondary Education Directorate for further verification.
• Concerned Officials of the Directorate of Secondary Education of the Tripura Government will then verify the CM Sath Scheme Beneficiary List.
• Beneficiary Students Selected under the Tripura Government’s CM Sath Scheme will then receive monthly financial assistance as a scholarship of Rs. 5,000/- per month.
• In case of any help or assistance is required regarding the CM Sath Scheme, beneficiary students can contact their Districts Education Officer for further assistance.
