Introduction of Uttar Pradesh Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji announced on the 6th of July 2025 to launch two new religiously important schemes in Uttar Pradesh.
- The first one is for Sikh residents of Uttar Pradesh named “Panch Takht Yatra Yojana”.
- And the second one is for Hindu/ Buddhist devotees named “Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana”.
- In this article, we are going to talk in detail about the Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana of Uttar Pradesh Government which is going to be started for Hindu/ Buddhist Devotees.
- UP Government’s main objective behind announcing this scheme is to fulfill the religious aspirations of Buddhist devotees of the State to visit famous and sacred pilgrimage places in the religion of Buddhism.
- Department of Religious Affairs of the Uttar Pradesh Government is the implementing department of this scheme.
- Financial Assistance as a subsidy will be provided by the Uttar Pradesh Government under its Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana to ensure the hassle-free travel to famous Buddhist pilgrimage places.
- Subsidy of Rs. 10,000/- per person will be payable to each devotee under the Bauddha Tirth Darshan Yojana of the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- Buddhist residents of Uttar Pradesh will get the following benefits under the Government’s Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana :-
- Financial Assistance as a Subsidy will be provided to visit famous and sacred pilgrimage places of Buddhism.
- Rs. 10,000/- per person will be provided to each eligible Buddhist Applicant.
- Assistance will be directly transferred in the bank account of the Applicant.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Uttar Pradesh Government sets the following expected eligibility criteria of Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana and the assisance of Rs. 10,000/- will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill it :-
- Only Permanent Resident applicants of Uttar Pradesh are Eligible.
- Applicant should be belong to the Hindu/ Buddhist Community.
- Applicant Devotee should be medically and physically fit to travel.
- Preference in selection will be given to economically backward applicants.

- There will be a possibility that the Bauddha Teerth Darshan Yojana Online Application Form will be accepted through Religious Affairs Department Official Website.
- Official Guidelines of Bauddha Tirth Darshan Yojana of Uttar Pradesh Government will soon be drafted by the concerned department and released it the public domain.
