Introduction of Uttar Pradesh Computer Training Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Government of Uttar Pradesh launched the Computer Training Scheme in 2014.
- The main reason behind starting this scheme is to nourish the skills of unemployed youth of the State who belong to the OBC category so that they can get a better chance of employment.
- This scheme is implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Government’s State Backward Classes Welfare Department.
- Free-of-cost computer training will be provided to selected youths under the Computer Training Scheme of the Uttar Pradesh Government.
- But this scheme is not for all categories of youths.
- Unemployed boys and girls from Other Backward Class (OBC) Category who passed class 12th are only eligible to get free of cost computer training for O Level and CCC courses Computer Training.
- The duration of the O Level Computer Course is 1 year, and the government will pay the training fees of Rs. 15,000/- per trainee to the computer training institute.
- Whereas, the CCC Level Computer Course Duration is 3 months, and the government will pay the training fees of Rs. 3,500/- per trainee to the computer training institute.
- Selected trainee doesn’t have any need to pay any training fees, this O-level and CCC computer course will be free of cost under the UP Government’s Free Computer Training Scheme.
- If any applicant’s annual family income is more than Rs. 1,00,000/-, then they are not eligible to apply for this scheme.
- Selected Trainee will have to attend regular classes and maintain a minimum 75% attendance. Attendance of selected trainees will be monitored by an Aadhaar-based attendance system.
- If any selected trainee is absent for 15 days or more than 15 days without any intimation, then he/ she will be replaced with a suitable waiting list candidate.
- If a trainee leaves the computer training before completion, then they will have to pay the registration fees of the scheme.
- Uttar Pradesh Government has empanelled more than 200 computer institutes in 71 districts to provide free-of-cost O-Level and CCC-Level Course training under the Free Computer Training Scheme of the Government of UP.
- Eligible Unemployed Youth can apply for the O Level and CCC Computer Training Scheme of the Uttar Pradesh Government through an Online Application Form.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- Selected Other Backward Class Category Applicants will get the below mentioned benefits from the Uttar Pradesh Government under the Online Computer Training Scheme :-
- Computer Training of O Level and CCC-Level courses will be provided.

- No amount of fees will be charged to Selected Applicants.
- O Level Computer Course Duration is 1 Year.
- CCC Level Computer Course Duration is 3 Months.
- Course Completion Certificate will also be provided to Selected Applicants.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Uttar Pradesh Government will provide free of cost O-level and CCC-level computer course training to only those unemployed students who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the Computer Training Scheme :-
- Unemployed Permanent Resident Students of Uttar Pradesh are Eligible.
- Students should have a minimum of Class 12th Pass.
- Applicant Student should belong to the OBC Category. (Other Backward Class)
- Applicant Students’ Family Annual Income should be less than Rs. 1 Lakh per year.
- Applicant Students should not be beneficiaries of any other Government Scholarship Scheme.

- Eligible Students will have to upload the below-mentioned documents at the time of applying for the O Level or CCC Level Course under the Uttar Pradesh Government’s Computer Training Scheme :-
- Domicile Certificate or Any Residence Proof of Uttar Pradesh.
- Applicant Aadhaar Card.
- Other Backward Class (OBC) Certificate.
- Class 12th Marksheet.
- Class 12th Passing Certificate.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Uttar Pradesh Government launched an Official Website named O Level and CCC Computer Training Scheme through which Unemployed Other Backward Class (OBC) Category applicants can apply for the Computer Training Scheme.
- Visit the Website and Choose Student Registration.
- Beneficiary Applicant cannot register themselves if they don’t have an Aadhaar Card.
- Enter your Name and Mobile Number in the Registration Form.
- Mobile Number of the Applicant will be verified by the portal through OTP.
- User Name and Password will be sent to the registered mobile number of the applicant after successful registration.
- Login with the help of the User Name and Password.
- Fill in all the details in the Computer Training Scheme Online Application Form and upload all the required documents.
- Preview the filled information and click on the Save Button to submit the Application Form.
- Take the printout of the filled application form, attach all the required documents with it, and submit it to the District Backward Classes Welfare Officer of the respective District.
- Respective Department will shortlist the applicant on the basis of Class 12th percentage.
- Coaching Institutes will be allotted to selected applicants for free of cost O Level and CCC-Level Computer Course.
