Introduction of Uttar Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Having a Old Age People in a house is blessing for households.
• But some people think they might be a burden on a family and did not pay heed to their basic need and requirements.
• So with a objective to support old age people of Uttar Pradesh financially and make them independent, Government of Uttar Pradesh started Old Age Pension Scheme.
• This scheme will play major role for the welfare of old age people in whole of Uttar Pradesh.
• Department of Social Welfare of Uttar Pradesh is the implementing department of Uttar Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme.
• The hindi name of this scheme is “उत्तर प्रदेश वृद्धावस्था पेंशन योजना”.
• Under Old Age Pension Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government, Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided to People of Uttar Pradesh having Age of 60 Years and Above as a Pension.
• In the initial phase of this scheme, the pension amount is Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred Rupees Only) per month.
• Then as per the societal requirements, the Government of Uttar Pradesh increased this amount to Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand Rupees Only) per Month.
• Permanent Residents of Uttar Pradesh and having 60 Years of Age or Above are eligible to apply for monthly financial assistance under Uttar Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme.
• The Annual Family Income of Applicant under Old Age Pension Scheme should be Rs. 46,080/- in Rural Area and Rs. 56,460/- in Urban Area.
• Till now more than 42 Lakh people is receiving the Financial Assistance as Monthly Pension under Old Age Pension Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government.
• Financial Assistance will be credited in the bank account of beneficiary on a quarterly basis means once in a four month.
• Eligible Old Age People of Uttar Pradesh can apply for monthly pension by simply filling the Online Application Form of Old Age Pension Scheme.
• Beneficiary can also track their application by simply clicking on Application Status of Old Age Pension Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• The following financial assistance will be provided to Old Age People of Uttar Pradesh as a Monthly Pension under Old Age Pension Scheme :-
  

  Monthly Pension of Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand Rupees Only).

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The following eligibility conditions need to be fulfilled by the Applicant to avail the benefit of financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month as a monthly pension under the Uttar Pradesh Government’s Old Age Pension Scheme :-
  

  Applicant Should be a Permanent Resident of Uttar Pradesh. The Age of the Applicant Should be Minimum 60 Years. The Annual Family Income of the Applicant Should be :- Rs. 46,080/- in Rural Area. Rs. 56,460/- in Urban Area.

• The following documents will be required at the time of applying for Monthly Pension under Old Age Pension of Uttar Pradesh Government :-
  

  Domicile/ Residence Proof of Uttar Pradesh. Color Passport Photograph of Applicant. Birth Certificate. Income Certificate of Applicant. Aadhar Card of Applicant. Applicant’s Bank Account Details.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible Beneficiaries of Uttar Old Age Pension Scheme can apply for monthly financial assistance as a pension by filling Online Application Form.
• Online Application Form of Old Age Pension Scheme is available at Uttar Pradesh Integrated Pension Portal.
• Application Form of Old Age Pension Scheme will be filled according to the below mentioned category :-
  • Personal Details like :- Name, Date of Birth and Address of the Applicant will be filled.
  • Applicant Bank Account Details like :- Name of the Bank, Bank Account Number and IFSC Code of the Bank Branch will be filled.
  • Income Certificate Details of Applicant will be Entered.
  • And at last Color Photograph and Age Proof of Applicant will be uploaded.
• Preview the filled Application Form of Old Age Pension carefully, read the declaration and Click on Submit Button.
• After Submission, Portal will generate the Unique Registration ID for Applicant’s Application of Old Pension Scheme.
• Application Form along with all the documents will be forwarded to District Social Welfare Officer or Block Development Officer for verification.
• After verification the accepted application of old age pension scheme will be then forwarded to Uttar Pradesh Department of Social Welfare for final approval.
• Once the Department of Social Welfare of Uttar Pradesh gives final approval, the financial assistance on quarterly basis will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiary.
• Applicant can also check the Application Status of Old Pension Scheme Application by entering the Registration ID and Mobile Number.
