Introduction of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Uttarakhand Government launched tons of welfare scheme and alloted handfull of budget for smooth implementation of this schemes.
- Some of the major ones are “Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Kit Scheme” and “Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana”.
- Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami launched this subsidy scheme on LPG Cylinders at District Pauri Garhwal in the year 2023.
- The main aim behind starting this scheme is to help low income group families to switch their cooking method from wood to clean fuel i.e. LPG.
- Implementing department of this scheme is Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs of Uttarakhand Government.
- Government will now provide free-of-cost LPG Cylinders to all eligible beneficiary families under Mukhyamantri Antodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana.
- Every year 3 Domestic LPG Gas Cylinders will be provided without any cost to beneficiaries under this scheme.
- But as it is clear by this scheme name, benefits of free of cost gas cylinder will not provided to all people.
- Only Antyodaya Ration Card Holders (Pink Ration Card Holders) and permanent resident of Uttarakhand are only eligible to get free of cost gas cylinders per year under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Cylinder Yojana.
- For the year 2024-2025, Uttarakhand Government allotted Rs. 55/- Crore for the smooth implementation of this scheme in State.
- At present around 1,83,419 Antyodaya Ration Card Holders is getting benefit of 3 free of cost domestic gas cylinders per year under Government of Uttarakhand’s Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Scheme.
- This scheme is also famous by other names which are commonly used which are “Chief Minister Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Scheme Uttarakhand” or “Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Free Gas Refill Scheme Uttarakhand” or “Free Gas Cylinder Scheme Uttarakhand”.
- This is a subsidy scheme on gas cylinders in which beneficiary families will have to purchase the gas cylinder at original price.
- Gas Agency will then refund the amount in the bank account of beneficiary.
- Beneficiary can contact their District Supply Officer if they need any help or assistance regarding Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana.
Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- Uttarakhand Government will provide the below-mentioned benefits under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana to all eligible antyodaya families :-
- Yearly Gas Cylinder Refills will be Provided without any Cost.
- 3 Gas Cylinder Refills per Year are applicable under this scheme.
- 1 Refill of Gas Cylinder in 4 Months can be availed under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana.
- Benefits will be provided only on Domestic Gas Cylinders.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Government of Uttarakhand will provide 3 domestic gas cylinders free of cost per year to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana :-
- Only Permanent Resident of Uttarakhand are Eligible to Apply.
- Valid Domestic LPG Connection is required to avail the benefits.
- Beneficiary Family should have Pink Ration Card, popularly known as Antyodaya Card.
Documents Required to be Attached
- Beneficiary will have to submit the following documents in Gas Agency to link their gas connection in order to avail the benefit of 3 domestic LPG cylinder per year under Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana :-
- Domestic Gas Connection Details.
- Pink Ration Card. (Antyodaya Card)
- Beneficiary Aadhar Card.
- Mobile Number.
- Bank Account Number and IFSC Code.
How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Antoydaya Card Holders (Pink Ration Card) are only eligible to get free of cost 3 domestic gas cylinder per year under Uttarakhand Government’s Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana.
- Beneficiary will have to first visit the concerned gas agency with their Ration Card, Aadhar Card and Bank Account Details.
- District Supply Officer will provide the list of Antyodaya Card Holders to the concerned gas agency.
- LPG Gas Agency will then link the Gas Connection of beneficiary with their Aadhaar Card, Antyodaya Ration Card and Bank Account Details.
- Antyodaya Ration Card Holder can avail the benefit of free of cost gas cylinder once in a 4 months i.e 1 Gas Cylinder in 4 months.
- As this is a subsidy scheme so beneficiary will have to purchase the LPG Cylinder from the gas agency at the original market price.
- Then after that Gas Agency will refund the amount directly in the bank account of beneficiary.
- Uttarakhand Government will then reimburse the amount of subsidy to gas agencies.
- So it is clear that there is no need to apply directly for Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Nishulk Gas Refill Yojana of Uttarakhand Government.
- Just visit the gas agency, link your antyodaya ration card with gas connection and avail the benefit of 3 LPG Cylinders free of cost in a year.
