Introduction of Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program: A Brief Insight

• On the 30th of June 2025, the Delhi Government launched one of the major schemes for the young students of the State.
• The name of the scheme is “Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program”, alias “Delhi Chief Minister Internship Program”.
• It is a 3-month internship program designed with the objective to engage youths from various fields to take part in the policy and decision-making process of the government, which can make Delhi cleaner, smarter and prosperous.
• Department of Administrative Reforms is the implementing department of this scheme.
• Delhi Government will now select young students who are currently pursuing a graduation or post-graduation course for a 3-month internship under the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program.
• The time period of internship starts from 01-07-2025 and ends on 27-09-2025; this period covers the application process, screening test and boot camp.
• The government will conduct the boot camp on 23-07-2025.
• The application for the Delhi CM Internship Programme is live and interested students can register themselves till 07-07-2025.
• The government will select 300 students initially after a screening test thereafter, 150 students will be selected finally on the basis of essay writing.
• Interns selected under Delhi Government’s Chief Minister Internship Program will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month i.e. a total of Rs. 60,000/- for 3 months.
• A signed certificate by the head of the department will also be provided to the interns after successful completion of the internship.
• Students in the age group of 18 to 30 years are only eligible to apply for an internship under the CM Internship Programme of the Delhi Government.
• Online Registration is open for the Internship Programme and students can apply till 10-07-2025.
• Joining of Interns under the CM Internship Program will start on 01-08-2025 and only 3-day time frame will be provided to join the office.
• Students can also explore the Central Government internship scheme named “PM Internship Scheme”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Delhi Government will provide the following benefits to all selected interns under the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program :-
  • 3 Months of Internship will be provided in the Government Departments.
  • 5 days of leave is applicable for Interns during the Internship.
  • Monthly Stipend of Rs. 20,000/- will be paid to selected interns.
  • A certificate will also be provided after completion of the Internship.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• 3-month internship with a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month will be provided to only those students who meet the eligibility criteria of the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program :-
  • Students who are Pursuing Graduation or Post-Graduation Courses.
  • The student should be a Voter of Delhi.
  • The Age of the Student should be between 18 years to 30 years.
  • Student should have 70% marks or more in their Class 12th Board Exams.

• Applicant Student will have to submit the following documents at the time of applying for internship under Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program :-
  • Any Residential Proof of Delhi.
  • Voter Identity Card.
  • Student Identity Card.
  • Class 12th Marksheet.
  • Class 12th Certificate.
  • Class 10th Certificate. (For Age Proof)
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Mobile Number and Email.
  • Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible and Interested Students can register themselves for the preliminary/ screening test of the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program Online.
• Online Registration Form is available on the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program Official Website.
• Visit the Portal and Click on Registration.
  
• A registration form will appear in which the applicant student will have to fill in the following details :-
  • Name
  • Email
  • Address
  • Aadhaar Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Class 12th Percentage
  • Mobile Number
• The following documents will have to be uploaded at the time of registration:-
  
• Applicant students will also have to take their live selfie.
  
• The mobile numbers of students will be verified by the portal through OTP authentication.
• Check the filled details and click on the submit button to submit the registration form.
• Login on the portal again with your Email and choose your Password.
  
• A details Viksit Delhi CM Internship Programme Online Application Form will appear in which the applicant student will have to fill in the required details.
• Complete the application form and submit it.
• Submitted Application Form of Viksit Delhi Chief Minister Internship Program will be scrutinized by the respective department.
• The verification process is called a screening test in which only 300 candidates will be selected after a small online examination.
• Selected 300 students will be called for boot camp which is going to be organized on the 23rd of July 2025.
• An essay writing competition will be conducted at 1-day boot camp, through which the final 150 students will be selected for an internship under the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Program.
• The venue and timing of the bootcamp will be announced by the authorities later.
• The last date to apply for the Delhi Chief Minister Internship Program is the 10th of July 2025.

Student Selection Procedure

• After online registration, a total of 300 students will be selected initially through a screening test for 1-day boot camp under the Viksit Delhi CM Internship Programme.
• After registration, a timer will start for the screening test and the student will have to answer 4 questions in 300 words.
• Students selected for boot camp will have to write 1 essay on the given topic.
• The date of boot camp is 23-07-2025.
• On the basis of performance in essay writing, 150 students will be finally selected for an internship under the Chief Minister Internship Program of the Delhi Government.
• It is mandatory for a students to carry their original documents for verification.
• Finally selected interns will undergo a 3-month internship in the Delhi Government’s Departments.
• Internship under the Mukhyamantri Internship Program of the Delhi Government will going to end on 27-09-2025.
