Introduction of Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme was started by the Telugu Desam Party back then, when they were in power before 2019.
- That time, farmers will get yearly assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per year (Rs. 6,000/- under PM Kisan) under this scheme.
- But we saw a change of government in the year 2019 when YSR Congress Party won the election and decided to close this scheme for farmers.
- YSR Congress Party started their own welfare scheme for farmers named “YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme” in which farmers got Rs. 13,500/- per year financial assistance along with other benefits.
- In the legislative elections of 2024, the Telugu Desam Party promised farmers to restart the Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme in the state with increased financial assistance of Rs. 20,000/- per year if they win.
- The other election promise of the Telugu Desam Party is to start “Aadabidda Nidhi Scheme”, “Deepam Scheme”, “Nirudyoga Bruthi Scheme” and “Thalliki Vandanam Scheme” in Andhra Pradesh.
- Telugu Desam Party successfully formed its Government in Andhra Pradesh by winning 135 seats of the assembly.
- Now cabinet gave its approval to start the Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme for farmers from June 2025.
- The main aim of this scheme is to stabilize the income of State farmers by providing them yearly financial support.
- Andhra Pradesh Government’s Agriculture Department is the implementing department of this scheme.
- At present, farmers of the country is getting yearly financial assistance of Rs. 6,000/- in 3 instalments under the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
- But sometimes this financial assistance is not enough for farmers due to the risk factors involved in agriculture.
- So to make farmers of Andhra Pradesh more self-reliant, the Government introduces the “Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme”.
- As mentioned earlier, farmers of Andhra Pradesh will get yearly assistance of Rs. 20,000/- per year under this scheme.
- But the amount of this scheme is consolidated with the amount of the central government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
- Out of Rs. 20,000/- per year, Rs. 14,000/- per year will be provided by Andhra Pradesh Government under Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme and Rs. 6,000/- per year will be provided by Central Government under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.
- All small and marginal farmers and tenant farmers of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to get this yearly financial assistance under this scheme.
- Andhra Pradesh Government also launched the Official Portal of Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme.
- Anna Datha Sukhibhava’s Website is not currently working properly yet as it is under construction.
- This scheme is expected to be launched in the month of June 2025.
- Andhra Pradesh Government is waiting for the Central Government’s share to be released.
- Official Guidelines will soon be released by the government, in which the remaining eligibility conditions and application procedure will be mentioned.
- This scheme is also going to be known by some other names in State which are “Annadatha Sukhibhava Yojana” or “Annadatha Sukhibhava – PM Kisan Scheme” or “Annadatha Sukhibhava Pathakam”.
- Till then beneficiary farmers will have to wait to get Rs. 20,000/- per assistance under this scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- All eligible small and marginal farmers of Andhra Pradesh will get the following benefits under Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme :-
- Yearly Financial Assistance will be provided to small and marginal farmers.
- Farmers will get Rs. Rs. 20,000/- per year under this scheme.
- Rs. 14,000/- per year is a share of the Andhra Pradesh Government which is provided in installments.
- Rs. 6,000/- will be provided under PM Kisan Yojana.
- Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme amount and PM Kisan Scheme amount will be jointly transferred in the bank account of the beneficiary farmer.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Andhra Pradesh Government will provide yearly assistance of Rs. 20,000/- per year under Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of scheme :-
- Only Small and Marginal Farmers are Eligible to get financial assistance under this scheme.
- BThe eneficiary Farmer should be a Permanent Resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- The farmer should be a Beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana. (PM-Kisan)
- Tenants Farmers are also eligible to get assistance under the Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme.
- Benefits will only be provided to one farmer per family.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Telugu Desam Party announced to restart the Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme in the state after winning the assembly election.
- Now as they win the election and form their government in Andhra Pradesh, Agriculture Minister Sh. Kinjarapu Atchannaidu presents Rs. 43,403/- Crore Agriculture budget in the legislative assembly.
- He mentioned in their budget speech that the Government of Andhra Pradesh will very soon launch Annnadatha Sukhibhava Scheme in state.
- After this speech, the Cabinet of Andhra Pradesh gave its approval to launch this scheme in the state along with other welfare schemes.
- According to government sources, the Annadata Sukhibhava Scheme of the Andhra Pradesh Government will start as soon as Central Government provides its share of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
- So as per latest news, Andhra Pradesh Government plans to launch the Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme from the month of June.
- Beneficiary Farmers will have to wait little bit more in order to avail the benefit of additional benefits of Rs. 14,000/- per year under Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme.
- As soon as the Central Government deposits its share of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the bank account of beneficiary farmers, the Andhra Government will also release the State’s share of amount which is promised under Anna Datha Sukhibhava Scheme.
