Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana: A Brief Insight

• The Madhya Pradesh Government launched “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana” on 05-03-2023, under which financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month is provided with the objective of uplifting their socio-economic status.
• After the implementation of this scheme, the Government observed that many Ladli Behna’s are living in Kutcha Houses.
• To support women beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, the Madhya Pradesh Government launched a new housing scheme for them.
• The name of the scheme is “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana” (मध्य प्रदेश मुख्यमंत्री लाड़ली बहना आवास योजना).
• This scheme was officially launched on 17-09-2023.
• The main aim behind starting this scheme is to provide financial assistance to those women beneficiaries who are currently living in Kutcha House.
• The implementing Department of this scheme is the Women and Child Development Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government.
• The government will now provide financial assistance to eligible women beneficiaries for the construction of their own houses.
• Rs. 2 Lakh under Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana will be provided for house construction to women beneficiaries.
• Women Beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana are only eligible to apply for financial assistance for house construction under this scheme.
• Financial Assistance will be directly provided in the bank account of the beneficiary applicant in a phased manner.
• If the monthly family income of the woman beneficiary is more than Rs. 12,000/- per month then she is not eligible to apply for this scheme.
• Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana is specifically started for those beneficiaries who don’t get housing assistance under the Central Government’s Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana.
• The other major and popular names of this scheme are “Chief Minister Ladli Behna Awas Scheme” or “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Scheme” or “Chief Minister Ladli Behna Awas Yojana”.
• Women Applicants can apply for assistance under Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana through an Offline Application Form which is available free of cost at the Gram Panchayat Office.
• There is no Official Website and Online Application Form of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana of the Madhya Pradesh Government is available.
• In case any help or assistance is required regarding this scheme, women beneficiaries can contact their area’s Gram Panchayat Office.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Government of Madhya Pradesh will provide the following benefits to all eligible women beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana :-
  • Financial Assistance will be provided to Women Beneficiaries for House Construction.
  • Rs. 2,00,000/- assistance will be provided for the Construction of the House.
  • Financial Assistance will be directly transferred to the bank account of the women beneficiaries in instalments.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance for the Construction of Houses under Madhya Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  • Only Women Beneficiaries are Eligible to Apply.
  • Women should be a beneficiary of Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana.
  • Beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana are not Eligible to apply.
  • Beneficiary Women should have Land for the Construction of a House or reside in a Kutcha House in which there should be only 2 rooms.
  • Monthly Family Income of Women Beneficiaries should not be more than Rs. 12,000/- per Month.

Ineligibility Conditions of the Scheme

• If any woman beneficiary falls within the ambit of any of the below-mentioned ineligibility criteria, then they are not eligible to get financial assistance for the construction of a house as promised by the Madhya Pradesh Government under Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana :-
  • If the Applicant is a Beneficiary of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana.
  • An applicant who has a Pucca Concrete House.
  • If the Applicant’s Family’s Monthly Income is more than Rs. 12,000/- per month.
  • If Applicant Family has a four-wheeler.
  • If any family member is in Government Service.
  • If any family member is an Income Tax Payee.
  • If the Applicant Family has more than 2.5 acres of Irrigated Land and more than 5 acres of Non-Irrigated Agricultural Land.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Beneficiary Women will have to attach the below-mentioned documents with the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana Application Form in order to avail the benefit of financial assistance for the construction of house :-
  • Residence Proof or Domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Family Samagra ID.
  • Colour Passport Size Photograph.
  • Family Ration Card.
  • Registration Number/Receipt of Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana.
  • Aadhaar Card of Women Beneficiary.
  • Bank Account Number and IFSC Code.
  • Job Card. (If Available)
  • Mobile Number.
  • Family Income Certificate.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Women Applicants can apply for financial assistance for the construction of a house under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana by applying through Application Form.
• Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana Application Form can be collected free of cost from the Office of the Gram Panchayat.
• The secretary/ Rozgar Assistant present at the Gram Panchayat Office will give application forms to applicants and also help them out by assisting them with how to fill out the application form.
• Fill out the Application Form without making any mistakes.
• Attach Samagra ID, Aadhar Card, Bank Account Passbook, and Self-Attested Documents Related to Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana with the Application Form.
• Submit the Application Form along with all the documents to the Gram Panchayat Office.
• Acknowledgement Receipt will be provided by the Secretary/ Rozgaar Assistant of the Gram Panchayat to the beneficiary applicant.
• Officials of the Gram Panchayat Office will verify the received application form and documents and make a list of selected women beneficiaries.
• Ground Verification/ Site Visit will also be done by officials for confirmation of Kutcha House.
• The list of Women selected for financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh for the construction of a house under Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Awas Yojana will be forwarded to the Women and Child Development Department for further approval.
• After final approval from the department, financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh for house construction will be provided to women beneficiaries in a phased manner.
• Status Report will also be submitted by the Gram Panchayat Officials at every stage of the construction house.
• This is a DBT Scheme and financial assistance will be directly transferred to the bank account of the women beneficiary.
