Introduction of Gujarat Kisan Parivahan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Gujarat farmers faced difficulty transporting their produce from agricultural fields to the Mandis.
• Most of the farmers can’t purchase vehicles due to financial instability.
• Considering farmers’ hardships, the Gujarat Government started a new welfare scheme for farmers in 2024.
• The name of Scheme is “Kisan Parivahan Yojana”.
• The main objective of the Gujarat Government behind launching this scheme is to provide a financial push to farmers and help them to purchase vehicles for agricultural goods.
• Agriculture, Farmer Welfare and Co-operation Department of the Gujarat Government is the implementing department of this scheme.

• If beneficiary farmers want to purchase the Tractor and Trailer under Kisan Parivahan Yojana, then the applicable subsidy is 20% of the vehicle cost or a maximum of Rs. 30,000/- applicable for all category farmers.
• Subsidy under the Kisan Parivahan Scheme will only be applicable on the purchase of Medium-Sized Goods Vehicles with a load carrying capacity of 600 Kg to 1500 Kg.
• A farmer cannot sell the purchased vehicle for a minimum of 2 years and can only use it for only transportation of agricultural produce.
• Any kind of modification to the purchased vehicle is also not allowed.
• Gujarat Government’s Kisan Parivahan Yojana Online Application Form is available on the Official Portal of Ikhedut.
• Beneficiary Farmers can visit the portal and apply for the Kisan Parivahan Scheme and avail the benefit of a subsidy on the purchase of a medium-sized goods vehicle for agricultural purposes.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Government of Gujarat will provide the following benefits to all eligible farmers of the State under Kisan Parivahan Yojana :-
  • Subsidy will be provided on the Purchase of Medium Size Goods Vehicles.
  • Medium-sized goods vehicles will only be used for Agricultural purposes.
  • Load Carrying Capacity of Goods vehicles should be 600 Kg to 1500 Kg.
  • Small, Marginal, Women, SC, and ST Farmers will get a 35% Subsidy or a maximum of Rs. 75,000/- of the Price of the Vehicle.
  • General and Other Farmers will get a 25% Subsidy or a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- of the Price of the Vehicle.
  • For the Purchase of a Tractor and Trailer, All Farmers of Gujarat will get a 20% subsidy or a maximum of Rs. 30,000/- of the Price of the Tractor trailer.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Subsidy on the purchase of medium-sized goods vehicles underthe  Gujarat Government’s Kisan Parivahan Yojana will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the below-mentioned criteria of scheme :-
  

  Permanent Resident Farmers of Gujarat are only Eligible to apply. Farmers should belong to any of the below-mentioned category :- Small Farmers. Marginal Farmers. Women Farmers. Scheduled Caste Category Farmers. Scheduled Tribe Category Farmers. Farmers should have Cultivable Agricultural Land. Tenant Farmers are also Eligible to Apply.

• Beneficiary Farmers will have to submit the following documents with the Application Form of Kisan Parivahan Yojana of Gujarat Government :-

• Beneficiary Farmers can apply for a subsidy on the purchase of a medium-sized goods vehicle for agricultural purposes under the Kisan Parivahan Yojana of the Gujarat Government through Online Application Form.
• Kisan Parivahan Yojana Online Application Form is available on the Official Portal of Ikhedut.
• Visit the Ikhedut Portal and Click on Registration.
  
• Fill in the Beneficiary Type, District Name, Taluka, Village, Land Khata Number, Select Name of Farmer, and Click on Save and Next.
  
• Fill Mobile Number and Email, and the Portal will verify it through OTP authentication.
• Choose Your Password, then and click on the Submit Button.
• Login with your Mobile Number and chosen password.
  
• Search for Kisan Parivahan Yojana and Click on the Apply Button.
• Fill out the Online Application Form of Kisan Parivahan Scheme of the Government of Gujarat.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Check all the filled details and submit the Application Form.
• Take a printout of it and attach all the uploaded documents with it.
• In the meantime, the beneficiary farmer will have to purchase the medium-sized goods vehicle or tractor trailer from authorized dealers under Kisan Parivahan Yojana.
• Kisan Parivahan Scheme Application Form with all the documents will have to be submitted in the Office of the District Agriculture Officer or the District Panchayat Office.
• Respective Officials will verify the received application form and documents and make a list of eligible farmers to disburse the subsidy.
• Selected Farmers will get a subsidy on the purchase of lightweight medium-sized goods vehicles directly into their bank accounts.
• Application Status of Kisan Parivahan Yojana can be checked by Logging In in to the account.
• If interested farmers due to any valid reason, do not apply online for Kisan Parivahan Yojana then they will fill Offline Application Form and submit it to the District Panchayat Office or the District Agricultural Officer Office.
