Introduction of Rajasthan Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana: A Brief Insight

The Government of Rajasthan is currently operating numerous educational welfare schemes to improve the educational status of girls in the state.
Some of the major ones are “Indira Priyadarshini Puraskar Yojana“, “Kalpana Chawla Scooty Vitran Yojana”, “Gargi Puraskar Yojana”, and “Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana.
Today, we are going to talk about the Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana of the Rajasthan Government, also known as the Girl Child Promotion Award Scheme.
It was launched by the government in the year 2008.
The main objective of the Rajasthan Government behind launching this educational welfare scheme is to encourage girl students to pursue higher education.
Education Department of the Rajasthan Government is the implementing department of this scheme, and it is implemented in the State with the help of the Balika Shiksha Foundation.
The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to encourage girl to complete their higher secondary education and pursue higher education.
Rajasthan Government will provide one-time financial assistance to meritorious girl students under its Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana.
Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to girl students who passed their Class 12^th board examination with 75% or more marks.
It is a DBT scheme in which financial assistance will be directly transferred into the aadhaar-linked bank account of the girl student.
Rajasthan Government’s ShalaDarpan Portal’s Balika Shiksha Protsahan Tab provides the facility to apply for Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana (Girl Child Promotion Award Scheme) online.
Contact the District Education Officer in case of any help or assistance required regarding the Balika Protsahan Puraskar Scheme.
The financial assistance amount of Rs. 5,000/- of Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana will be transferred to the bank account of the girl student on the occasion of Basant Panchmi.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

Beneficiary Girl Students of Rajasthan who secured 75% or more than 75% marks in their Class 12^th Board Examination will get the following benefits from the Rajasthan Government under Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana :-
- One-time financial assistance to Meritorious Girl Students.
- Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to Eligible Girl Students.
- Certificate of Incentive will also be provided to the Girl Student.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

Government of Rajasthan will provide the one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- to only those beneficiaries who meet the eligibility criteria of Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana :-

Permanent Resident Girl Students of Rajasthan are Eligible.
Girl Student should have secured at least 75% Marks in the Class 12^th Board Examination.
Girl Student should have passed their Class 12^th from :-
- Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer Rajasthan.
- Sanskrit Schools situated in Rajasthan.
- Model Schools situated in Rajasthan.

Documents Required to be Attached

The documents that are required to be attached with the application form or uploaded on the portal at the time of applying for one-time financial assistance under Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana of the Government of Rajasthan :-
- Bhamashah Card or Family Janaadhaar Card.
- Girl Student Recent Color Photograph.
- Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
- Rajasthan Residence Proof.
- Girl Student Aadhaar Card.
- Class 12^th Marksheet and Certificate.
- Class 12^th Roll Number.
- Mobile Number and Email.
- Certificate of Caste. (If Applicable)

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

Beneficiary Girl Students can apply for the Rajasthan Government’s Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana in the following ways :-
- Through the Online Application Form.
- Through the Offline Application Form.

Online Application Process

Eligible Girl Students who passed Class 12^th with 75% or more marks can apply for one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/-, which is promised by the Rajasthan Government under its Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana through the Online Application Form.
Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana Online Application Form is available on the Government’s Integrated ShalaDarpan Portal.
ShalaDarpan Portal is an integrated platform of the Rajasthan Government in which multiple types of sub-portals are merged, which are beneficial for students, staff, teachers, and government officials.
Girl Student will have to open the ShalaDarpan Portal and choose the Integrated Balika Shiksha Protsahan Tab.
Once the Portal is opened, click on “Click Here to Apply for Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana”.
Balika Protsahan Puraskar Scheme Online Application Form will appear in which the following details will have to be filled by the girl student :-
Girl Student will have to upload all the required documents on the portal.
Preview the filled form and submit it.
Take a printout of the application form and save it for future reference.
Respective officials of the school will verify the submitted application form and documents online on the ShalaDarpan Portal with their login ID and password.
Selected Girl Student’s Application Form of Girl Child Promotion Award Scheme will be forwarded to Balika Shiksha Foundation for further action.
The department will release the one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- directly in the bank account of the selected girl student.
Application Status of the Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana can be checked by contacting the Balika Shiksha Foundation or by visiting the District Education Officer’s Office.

Offline Application Process

Application under Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana of the Rajasthan Government can also be submitted through the Offline Application Form.
Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana Offline Application Form is available at any of the following offices without any cost :-
- Balika Shiksha Foundation Office.
- Respective School Administrative Office.
- District Education Officer’s Office.
Take the Application Form of the Balika Protsahan Puraskar Scheme from any of the above-mentioned offices and fill it correctly.
Beneficiary Girl Student will have to attach all the required documents with the application form.
Verification of the application form will also be attested by the respective school from which the girl student passed their Class 12th.
Submit the Balika Protsahan Puraskar Yojana Application Form along with all the documents to the same office.
Acknowledgement receipt will be provided by the officials to the girl student after accepting the application form.
A list of eligible girl students will be made and will be forwarded it to the department for further approval.
Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,000/- will be transferred directly in the bank account of girl students.
