Introduction of AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program: A Brief Insight
- Aligarh Muslim University is a well-known educational institute that is famous for its quality education.
- It has a separate wing called the Residential Coaching Academy in which free-of-cost coaching for various competitive examinations such as the Judicial Services and SSC CGLE will be provided to students.
- Aligarh Muslim University selects 100 students through a nationwide entrance examination every year and prepares them for India’s toughest entrance examination, named “Civil Services” which is conducted by UPSC.
- Under its AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program, free of cost coaching for civil services for prelims and mains for 10 months will be provided to selected students.
- This coaching program for civil services is completely free of cost, except for some other charges that will have to be paid by the students.
- Students who have already completed their graduation from any discipline are eligible to take part in the entrance examination.
- But this coaching program is not open for everyone, students belonging to minority, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and women are only eligible for free of cost coaching under AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program.
- Aligarh Muslim University’s Residential Coaching Academy Unit also provided the hostel facility for outstation students.
- Freeship/ Scholarship will also be provided to eligible students who belong to the economically weaker section.
- Application for the preparation of UPSC 2026 is live and eligible students can apply till 15-08-2025.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Free of cost coaching for civil services examination will be provided to those students who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program :-
- Student should have completed their Graduation.
- Students should belong to any one of the following social group :-
- Minorities.
- Scheduled Caste.
- Scheduled Tribe.

- Any Student studying in a final year within Aligarh District is eligible to take the entrance. (Subject to prior permission from the competent authority)

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Eligible and Interested Students can register themselves online for the entrance examination of the AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program.
- There is a specific portal “https://oaps.amuonline.ac.in/login” through which students can register to take part in the entrance test examination.
- Visit the portal and click on Sign Up.
- Enter the following details in the sign-up form :-
- Full Name.
- Date of Birth.
- Aadhaar Card Number.
- Mobile Number.
- Email Address.
- Select your Password.
- Click on Register after filling in all the above-mentioned details.
- Now Sign In with Email Address and chosen Password.
- A detailed registration form of AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program will appear.
- Fill in all the details correctly without making any mistakes.
- Upload all the required documents on the portal.
- The student will have to pay the entrance examination fees of Rs. 1,000/-.
- Submit the registration form and take a printout for future reference.
- The last date to apply for Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Residential Coaching Academy Coaching Program for Civil Services is the 15th of August 2025.
- Wait for the admit card and take the entrance test on the 21st of September 2025 from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
Selection Procedure
- Selection of students for free coaching for civil services will be purely on a merit basis.
- Initially, students will be selected on the basis of marks in the entrance examination.
- Entrance Exam consists of two papers, one is objective and the other is descriptive and the time duration is 3 hours..
- The language of the entrance examination of AMU RCA Civil Services Program is English, Hindi and Urdu.
- Paper 1 is an objective type OMR-based exam and consists of 100 questions of 2 marks each and there will a negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Paper 2 is a descriptive type in which students will have to write 2 essays on current events or maybe any current hot topic going on.
- Paper 2 is of 200 marks.
- Students who successfully cleared the written entrance examination of AMU RCA Civil Services Free Coaching Program will be called for an Interview, which is of 100 marks.
- Final merit list will be prepared after the interview and the admission process will start for those students who have successfully made their name in the merit list.
