Uttar Pradesh Government under its Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana will provide in-hand cash assistance of Rs. 60,000/- to couples, 24 gift items worth Rs. 25,000/- and spend Rs. 15,000/- on arrangements, who wish and consume their marriage in a mass marriage function.

Introduction of Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Uttar Pradesh Government launched the much-needed Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana (उत्तर प्रदेश मुख्यमंत्री सामूहिक विवाह योजना) in 2017.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to provide financial support to those couples who are not in a financial condition to complete their marriage ceremonies without assistance.
• Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana is implemented by the Department of Social Welfare of the Uttar Pradesh Government.
• The government will spend Rs. 1,00,000/- per couple to organize the mass ceremony under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana.
• Out of Rs. 1,00,000/-, the amount of Rs. 60,000/- will be directly paid to the bride in their bank account as an in-hand cash assistance.
• UP Government also provides 24 gift items to couples worth Rs. 25,000/- under CM Samuhik Vivah Yojana.
• The remaining Rs. 15,000/- will be spent on the Tent, Furniture, Water, Food, Light and other arrangements of the marriage function.
• Government of Uttar Pradesh’s Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana is only for those girls who belong to poor families whose annual income is not more than Rs. 3,00,000/- per year.
• Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana has a dedicated portal through which beneficiaries can enroll themselves online under this scheme and avail the benefit of financial assistance and gift items.
• However, Applicants can also apply offline through the Offline Application Form, which is available at the Office of the District Social Welfare Officer.
• After verification, mass marriage will be organised by the district authorities for the eligible couples and the benefits of Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana will be delivered at the time of marriage.
• Uttar Pradesh Government allocated Rs. 550/- crore for the year 2025-2026 for the smooth implementation of Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana.
• Contact your District’s Social Welfare Officer in case any help or assistance is required regarding Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana of UP Government.
• If any applicant or a couple is disabled, then they can also apply for the Shadi Vivah Protsahan Puraskar Yojana of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Uttar Pradesh Government under its Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana will provide the following benefits to all eligible couple who wishes to get married in a mass marriage function :-
  • The government will spend Rs. 1,00,000/- for the marriage of a couple.
  • In Hand Cash Assistance of Rs. 60,000/- in Bank Account.
  • Gift Items to Bride worth Rs. 25,000/-.
  • Expenses of Rs. 15,000/- on the Food, Tent, Furniture, Water, and Light in the marriage function.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance under Uttar Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana will be provided to only those beneficiary couples who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
  

  Parents of the Girl should be Permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh. Parents of the Girl should be Poor and Needy People. The Annual Income of the Family should not be more than Rs. 3 Lakh per year. The Age of the Bride and Groom at the time of marriage should be :- Bride :- 18 Years or Older. Groom :- 21 Years or Older. Bride should be belong to any one of the following categories at the time of application :- Unmarried Girl. Widow. Destitute. Divorcee. Brides belonging to any one of the below-mentioned Social Categories are eligible for the scheme :- Scheduled Caste. Scheduled Tribe. Other Backward Class. Minority. Poor Bride from the General Category.

• The following documents will be required at the time of applying for financial assistance for marriage under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana of the Uttar Pradesh Government :-
  

  Any One Document for Proof of Age :- Educational Documents. Birth Certificate. Voter Identity Card. MGNREGA Job Card. Aadhaar Card. Caste Certificate. Family Income Certificate. Bank Account Details. Death Certificate of a Husband. (For Widow) Mobile Number. Email ID.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Eligible Girl Beneficiaries can avail the benefit for their marriage by applying under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana of Uttar Pradesh Government through the following ways :-
  • Through the Online Application Form.
  • Through the Offline Application Form.

Online Application Process

• Uttar Pradesh Government has a dedicated portal of Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana through which eligible applicants can apply online to avail the benefit of marriage assistance.
• Visit the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana Website and Click on Apply Online.
  
• A new window will appear from which the applicant will have to choose “Click Here to Apply Online”.
  
• Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana Online Application will appear, in whichthe  applicant will have to fill the following details as shown in the image below :-
  
• After filling in all the details, check the declaration and click on verify.
• A detailed Application Form of Chief Minister Samuhik Vivah Yojana of Uttar Pradesh Government will appear on the screen after initial verification.
• Fill in all the details in the Online Application Form.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Check all the filled information in the UP Government’s CM Samuhik Vivah Yojana Application Form and click on the submit button to submit it.
• Submitted Application Form and Documents will be verified by the District Social Welfare Officer.
• District Social Welfare Officer will prepare a list of eligible applicants and forward it to the Department for final approval.
• The department will organise the mass marriage and financial assistance will be transferred to the bank account of the girl beneficiary.
• Beneficiary Applicant can also take a Printout of the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana Certificate Online by entering Form Number, Date of Birth and Registered Mobile Number.
  
• The beneficiary can also apply through the Common Service Centre (CSC) to avail the benefit of UP Government’s Chief Minister Samuhik Vivah Yojana.

Offline Application Process

• Applications under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana of UP Government can also be submitted through an Offline Application Form.
• Offline Application Form of Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana can be collected from the Office of the District Social Welfare Officer.
• Collect the Application Form and fill it correctly without making any mistakes.
• Attach all the required documents to the application form.
• Submit Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana Application Form along with all the documents in the same office of the District Social Welfare Officer.
• DSWO will verify the received application form and documents and make a list of eligible couples found to be eligible for the marriage grant.
• Mass Marriage will only be organized if there are 10 or more eligible applications received under the CM Samuhik Vivah Yojana of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
• Financial Assistance will be directly transferred to the bank account of the bride.
