Introduction of Andhra Pradesh Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Andhra Pradesh Government launched the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme on 04-10-2025.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to compensate the auto, cab and maxi drivers of the State who are facing difficulty getting passengers and whose earnings are affected by the “Stree Shakti Scheme” of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
• Auto Driverla Sevalo Scheme will be implemented by the Transport Department of the AP Government.
• Andhra Pradesh Government will now provide yearly financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per year under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme to all eligible Auto Drivers, Cab Drivers, and Maxi Drivers.
• However, this scheme is not brand new.
• Earlier, the name of this scheme is “YSR Vahan Mitra Scheme” which was operated by the then YSR Congress Party Government, in which Rs. 10,000/- per year financial assistance was provided to auto, maxi and cab drivers of the State.
• Now, the current TDP-led Andhra Pradesh Government has changed the name of the scheme to “Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme” and increased the yearly financial assistance to Rs. 15,000/- per year.
• Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Thiru N. Chandrababu Naidu transferred more than Rs. 436 crore directly into the bank account of around 2,90,669 drivers under the revamped Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme on 4th of October 2025.
• Out of 290,669 beneficiary drivers, 2,25,621 are auto drivers, 38,576 are three-wheeler passenger vehicle drivers, 20,072 are motor cab drivers, and 6,400 are maxi cab drivers.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 15,000/- will be provided per year under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme by the Andhra Pradesh Government to all eligible drivers.
• Auto, Cab and Maxi Drivers who own a vehicle and drive by their own to earn a livelihood are only eligible to receive financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
• It is mandatory to have a valid driving license and the registration of the vehicle should be in Andhra Pradesh only.
• Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme Online Application Form is available on the Beneficiary Management Portal and the Offline Application Form can be collected from the Village/ Ward Secretariat Office.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Government of Andhra Pradesh under its Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme will provide the following benefits to all eligible auto and cab drivers of the State :-
  • Yearly Financial Assistance will be provided to Beneficiaries.
  • Each Cab, Maxi and Auto Driver will receive Rs. 15,000/- per year assistance directly in their bank account.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per year under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme will be provided by the Andhra Pradesh Government to only those applicants who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
  • The beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The beneficiary should be an Auto, Taxi or Cab Driver.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should have a Valid Driving License.
  • The Age of the Beneficiary is 18 years or above.
  • Self-owned auto, Taxi or Cab of the Beneficiary should be registered within Andhra Pradesh.

Check Scheme Eligibility Online

• Auto, Maxi and Cab Drivers of Andhra Pradesh State can check their eligibility online for the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme that they are eligible for the financial assistance scheme or not.
• Just Visit the Beneficiary Management Portal and Click on Scheme Eligibility.
  
• Enter your “Aadhaar Card Number”, select scheme type “Auto Driver Sevalo” and select year “2025-2026”.
  
• Click on the Get Details button after filling in all the above-mentioned details.
• Aadhaar Card will be authenticated through OTP by the portal from the Household Database of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
• Portal will show that the Eligibility of Auto, Maxi and Cab Drivers for the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme after Aadhaar card authentication if their details is matched.

Documents Required to be Attached

• The following documents will be required to avail the benefits of financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per year under Andhra Pradesh Government’s Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme :-
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Auto/ Cab Registration Certificate.
  • Auto/ Cab Insurance and PUC.
  • Bank Account Details of the Applicant.
  • Aadhaar Card Number.
  • Mobile Number.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Beneficiary Auto, Taxi or Cab Drivers can apply for the AP Government’s Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme benefits through the following ways :-
  • Online through the Beneficiary Management Portal.
  • Offline through the Application Form.

Online Application Process

• Andhra Pradesh Government has a dedicated portal named “Beneficiary Management Portal” through which eligible beneficiary applicants can apply for yearly financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- under Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme.
• Visit the Beneficiary Management Portal and Click on Login.
  
• A separate window will appear in which the applicant will have to select Citizen Login, enter their Aadhaar Number, fill the captcha code and click on Sign In.
  
• The portal will check the Aadhaar Card Number of the beneficiary applicant in the household database and verify it through OTP authentication.
• A dashboard will appear after Aadhaar card verification, from which the beneficiary applicant will have to select “Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme” from the citizen services tab.
• Fill all the personal details, contact details, bank account details and taxi/ maxi cab/ auto details in the Online Application Form of the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme of the Andhra Pradesh Government.
• Upload all the required documents on the portal.
• Preview the filled Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme Online Application Form and click on the submit button to finally submit it.
• The Village/ Ward Secretariat will verify the received application form and documents of the scheme.
• A list of eligible applicants will be made by the officials and forwarded to the Transport/ Finance Department for further approval.
• After approval, each selected auto, taxi or cab driver will receive yearly assistance of Rs. 15,000/- directly in their bank account as promised by the Andhra Pradesh Government under Auto Driverla Sevalo Scheme.

Offline Application Process

• Applicants can also apply for Rs. 15,000/- per year assistance under Auto Driver Sevalo Pathakam by applying for it through the Offline Application Form.
• Andhra Pradesh Government’s Auto Driverla Sevalo Scheme Offline Application Form can be collected from the office of the Village/ Ward Secretariat or the Regional Transport Department Office.
• Take the Application Form and fill it correctly without making any mistakes.
• Attach all the required documents with the Application Form of Auto Driverla Sevalo Scheme.
• Submit the Application Form along with all the attached documents in the same office from where the application form was collected.
• Village/ Ward Secretariat Officials will scrutinize the received application form and documents and make a list of eligible auto, taxi or cab drivers.
• The list of Drivers selected for financial assistance under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme of the Andhra Pradesh Government will be forwarded to the Transport Department for the disbursement of money.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 15,000/- per year will be transferred directly in the bank account of selected drivers.

Application Status Check Online

• After submitting the online application for the Auto Driverla Sevalo Scheme of the AP Government, beneficiary auto/ taxi/ cab drivers can check the application status online.
• Open the Beneficiary Management Portal and click on Application Status.
  
• A new window will open in front of the beneficiary.
• Select “Auto Driver Sevalo” in the scheme section, select the year from the drop-down, enter your UID (Aadhaar Card Number), fill captcha and click on OTP.
  
• Applicant Aadhaar Card will be verified by the portal through OTP authentication.
• Andhra Pradesh Government’s Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme Application Status will show on the screen of the applicant after verification.
