Introduction of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Weather is getting heat up in Delhi due to Legislative Assembly Election which is going to be conducted by Election Commission of India on 05-02-2025.
• Election Result will then announced on 8th of February 2025.
• Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janta Party, Congress Party with other political parties promised tons of welfare schemes which are going to be implement if they comes to power and form government in Delhi.
• Political Parties finds a best way to gain voters by announcing pre election promises to start welfare schemes.
• This trend was first started by Congress Party at the time of Legislative Assembly Election of Karnataka Congress in which they promised voters to start welfare schemes.
• Thereafter every political party in every State Election started announcing welfare schemes as pre election promise to gain voters and secure their votes.
• Now for Delhi Assembly Election, every major party following the trend and released its pre election welfare schemes list for the voters of Delhi.
• First, Aam Aadmi Party led Government Government of Delhi announced their pre election promise which they can fulfill if they manages to regain power and formed Government in Delhi.
• “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana” was announced by Aam Aadmi Party for women residents of Delhi in which Rs. 2,100/- per month will be provided.
• Then “Sanjeevani Yojana” for old age people was announced by AAP in which medical treatment free of cost will be provided.
• The last one for AAP is “Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana” for Pujari and Granthis in which monthly salary/ assistance of Rs. 18,000/- will be provided.
• Then AAP major contender and their formers partner of Lok Sabha Election, Congress Party released their election manifesto for Delhi.
• Congress announced “Pyaari Didi Yojana” for women in which Rs. 2,100/- per month assistance will be provided.
• “Jeevan Raksha Yojana” was announced by Congress Party for all people of Delhi in which free health insurance cover of Rs. 25 Lakh per family per year will be provided.
• Another major election promise of Congress Party for Delhi Youth is “Yuva Udaan Yojana” in which Rs. 8,500/- per month Stipend for one year with one year apprenticeship will be provided for youths skill development training.
• The last pre election promise of Congress Party is “Mehngai Mukti Yojana” in which Domestic LPG Gas Cylidner at Rs. 500/- with Monthly Family Ration Kit will be provided.
• Now the turn is of Bharatiya Janta Party who released election manifestos full of welfare schemes for the people of Delhi.
• In first election manifesto, Bharatiya Janta Party announced “Mahila Samriddhi Yojana” for women in which Rs. 2,500/- per month assistance will be provided.
• The second one of BJP is Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana which is specifically announced for Pregnant Women in which Rs. 21,000/- during pregnancy and 6 Poshan Kit will be provided.
• The third one is Atal Canteen Yojana in which Atal Canteen will be opened in slums and JJ Cluster area which serves tasty and nutritious food to people at just Rs. 5/- per plate.
• Other pre election promises in first manifesto of BJP are to increase the monthly pension amount of Delhi Old Age Pension Scheme and Widow Pension Scheme and “LPG Gas Cylinders on Holi and Deepavali” will be provided without any cost.
• Then on 21-01-2025, Bharatiya Janta Party released its second election manifesto for Delhi election in which more welfare scheme is announced.
• The major one is “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana” which is announced specifically for students who belongs to schedule caste category.
• If BJP wins the upcoming Delhi Election, then every Schedule Caste Student who are currently studying in ITI or Skilled Polytechnic will get monthly stipend of Rs. 1,000/- per month.
• Only Schedule Caste Students will be eligible to get benefits under this scheme.
• Bharatiya Janta Party promised that they will approve Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana in their first cabinet meeting after forming government in Delhi.
• After its implementation this scheme will going to be known by other name also which is “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme”.
• Schedule Caste Students will have wait till election get over and vote in large number for BJP if they wants this monthly stipend.
• For now this scheme is just an election promise of BJP.
• ECI announced election result of Delhi on 08-02-2025.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• If BJP wins the legislative election of NCT of Delhi then every schedule caste student who are studying in ITI or Skilled Polytechnic will get the following benefits under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana :-
  • Monthly Financial Assistance as Stipend will be Provided to Eligible Students.
  • Rs. 1,000/- per Month under this Scheme will be given to Students.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Monthly Stipend of Rs. 1,000/- per month under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana will only provided by Bharatiya Janta Party after coming to power in Delhi to only those students who fulfill the below mentioned eligibility conditions of scheme :-
  • Students belongs to Schedule Caste Category are Eligible to Apply.
  • Beneficiary Student should be Permanent Resident of NCT of Delhi.
  • Beneficiary Student should be Currently Studying in ITI or Skilled Polytechnic Course.
  • Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be released after its launch.

Documents Required to be Attached

• The expected documents which have to submitted by beneficiary students in order to avail the benefit of per month stipend of Rs. 1,000/- under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana are mentioned below :-
  • Domicile Certificate of Residence Proof of NCT of Delhi.
  • Beneficiary Student Aadhar Card.
  • Schedule Caste Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • ITI or Polytechnic Course Admission Certificate.
  • 1 Passport Photo.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Mobile Number and Email.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana is another pre poll promise of Bharatiya Janta Party for Schedule Caste Students of Delhi.
• Monthly Stipend of Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided to those scheduled caste students who are currently studying in ITI or Polytechnic Course.
• BJP will only fulfill this election promise if they win the upcoming legislative assembly election of NCT of Delhi with clear majority.
• After that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana will be implemented by new government in Delhi for Schedule Caste Students.
• So right now this scheme is just an election promise of Bharatiya Janta Party whose application process is not clear.
• It depends on future government to accept applications through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
• Portal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana will be made if the application process is through online application form.
• And if the application mode is offline then offline application form might be available at concerned ITI or Polytechnic.
• So, beneficiary students will have to wait till election and hope BJP will win in order to avail the benefit of Rs. 1,000/- per month stipend under Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Yojana.
• And if BJP doesn’t win Legislative Assembly Election of NCT of Delhi then this scheme will never going to be implemented.
• On 08-02-2024, election result of Delhi will be announced by Election Commission of India.
