Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers in Gujarat State will now get nutritional poshan kits, which consist of 1 litre of Groundnut Oil, 2 Kg of Chana, and 1 Kg of Tuver Dal (Arhar Dal) for 1,000 days (from conceiving to the child’s completion of 2 years of age) under the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana.

Introduction of Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Gujarat: A Brief Insight

• Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana in Gujarat on 18-06-2022 from Vadodara District.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to improve the nutritional health of pregnant women, lactating mothers, and their children by providing them with the calories and proteins they need.
• This scheme mainly focuses on the first 1,000 days from the conception of the child till the child attains the age of 2 years.
• The breakout of 1,000 days is 270 days covers from conceiving the pregnancy till the child birth, and the remaining 730 days covers from the birth of the child till he/ she attain the age of 2 years.
• Women and Child Development Department of the Gujarat Government is the implementing department of this scheme.
• Nutritional Poshan Kit will be provided to all eligible pregnant women and lactating mothers under the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana of the Government of Gujarat.
• Nutritional Kit provided under Chief Minister Matrushakti Yojana consists of the following items :-

• Gujarat Government expects that the outcomes of this scheme will bea  reduction in Infant and Maternity Mortality Rate, an increase the birth weight of babies, and the nutritional status of the mother and child will be improved.
• Registration under Mukhyamantri Matru Shakti Yojana will be done at the time when woman beneficiary conceives the child and after her first ANC check-up is completed.
• Official Website of Matrushakti Yojana has been launched by the Gujarat Government for the smooth registration of pregnant women beneficiaries.
• However, pregnant women beneficiaries can also register themselves under this scheme by visiting the Anganwadi Centre or through the Official Mobile App.
• The government estimates that around 7 lakh women will get the benefit of poshan (nutritional) kits under the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Scheme of Gujarat State.
• Call on 155209 or contact the Anganwadi Worker in case of help or assistance required regarding the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana of the Gujarat Government.
• Pregnant Women beneficiaries can also avail the benefit of Namo Shri Scheme of the Gujarat Government.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers in Gujarat State will get the below-mentioned benefits under Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana :-
  

  Poshan Kits will be provided to each Eligible Pregnant woman and Lactating mother. Each Poshan Kit consists of the following items :- 1 Litre Groundnut Oil. 2 Kg of Chana. 1 Kg of Tuver Dal. (Arhar Dal) Nutritional Poshan Kit will be provided for the initial 1,000 Days/ till the child completes 2 years. Nutritional Kits will be provided on a Monthly basis.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Nutritional Poshan Kit of having 1 Litre of Groundnut Oil, 1 KG of Tuvar Dal, and 2 KG of Chana will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana :-
  • Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers are Eligible to get a Nutritional Kit.
  • Beneficiary Women should be Permanent residents of Gujarat.
  • Women conceiving First Time and mothers giving Birth to their First Child are Eligible.

• The documents mentioned below will be required at the time of applying for the benefit of Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana of Gujarat Government :-
  • Aadhaar Card of Women.
  • Family Ration Card.
  • Mobile Number.
  • ANC Documents.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Beneficiary Women can apply for the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana of the Gujarat Government through below-mentioned ways :-

  • Through Mobile App.

Through the Online Application Form

• Government of Gujarat launched the Official Portal Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana through which beneficiary women register themselves on their own.
  
• Visit the Official Website and Choose Self Registration from Service.
  
• Application Form of Mukhyamantri Matru Shakti Yojana will appeal in which beneficiary pregnant women will have to fill the below-mentioned details :-
  • Aadhaar Card Number. (Verified through OTP)
  • Beneficiary Name.
  • Date of Birth/ Year of Birth.
  • Ration Card Member ID.
  • Family ID Card.
  • Anganwadi Name.
  • Worker Name.
  • Beneficiary Mobile Number. (Verified through OTP)
  • Beneficiary Pregnancy Related Information.

  

• Preview the filled details and click on the Submit Button to submit it.
• Initial verification will be done by the Anganwadi Worker and further approval will be provided by the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).
• Pregnant Women and Lactating mothers can collect their nutritional poshan kit from the Anganwadi Centre.
• Women Beneficiaries can check Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Application Status through Aadhaar Number or Beneficiary Identification Number.
  

Through Offline Application Form

• Pregnant Women can also apply for a nutritional kit under the Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana through an Offline Application Form.
• Mukhyamantri Matru Shakti Yojana Offline Application Form can be collected from the Anganwadi Centre.
• Take the Application Form, fill it, attach all documents, and submit it Anganwadi Centre.
• Anganwadi/ ASHA Worker will help the women beneficiary to fill the application form.
• Details of the Pregnant woman beneficiary will be entered by the Anganwadi Worker on the Official Website of the Mukhyamantri Matru Shakti Scheme.
• Nutritional Poshan Kit will be distributed among pregnant women beneficiaries and lactating mothers through Anganwadi Centres.
• Contact the Anganwadi Worker in case of any help or assistance required regarding the Chief Minister Matrushakti Scheme of the Gujarat Government.

Through Mobile Application

• Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Yojana Official Mobile Application is also available through which the application form for Matrushakti Yojana will be submitted.
• This mobile application is not available on the Google Play Store or Apple Store.
• Beneficiary women can download the mobile application from the Official Website.
• Download the Mobile Application, install it, and open it.
• Choose Self Enrollment and fill the Mukhya Mantri Matrushakti Yojana Application Form.
  
• Validate Aadhaar Card and Mobile Number.
• Fill in Pregnancy Related Details and Submit the Application Form.
• Mukhyamantri Matrushakti Scheme Application Form will be verified by Angawadi Worker, and poshan kits will be distributed from Anganwadi Centres to eligible pregnant women and lactating mothers.
