The main objective behind launching Haryana Cheerag Yojana is to provide free of cost education from Class 2nd to Class 12th to needy students in private schools. School Fees will be borne by Government of Haryana under Cheerag Yojana.

Introduction of Cheerag Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Quality Primary Education is very essential for every student in their early age.
- Unfortunately our Government Schools is not providing that type of quality education which is needed to groom the child.
- That’s why there is a dream of every parents to get their child admitted in private schools.
- But due to financial crunch, parents are not able to afford the educational expenses of Private School.
- Seeing this things around, Government of Haryana comes up with a solution.
- Haryana Government started major educational reform scheme called “Cheerag Yojana”.
- It was launched on July 1st 2022.
- The main objective behind launching Cheerag Yojana is to provide quality education to poor children free of cost in Private Schools.
- The full form of Cheerag in Cheerag Yojana is “Chief Minister Equal Education Relief Assistance and Grant”.
- Cheerag Yojana is also known as “Cheerag Scheme” or “Chief Minister Equal Education Relief Assistance and Grant Scheme”.
- Under Cheerag Yojana, Government of Haryana will borne the school fees of every student selected for admission in private school.
- Student doesn’t have to pay single penny for education under Cheerag Yojana.
- Only those students are eligible under Cheerag Yojana who passed their previous class from Haryana Government run School.
- The Annual Family Income of Student should not be more than Rs. 1,80,000/-. (One Lakh Eighty Thousands Rupees)
- Family Parivar Pehchaan Patra is mandatorily required at the time of applying for Cheerag Yojana.
- Free of Cost Education will be provided to students from Class 2nd to Class 12th.

- There is no online application facility available for Cheerag Yojana.
- Eligible Beneficiary can apply for Free of Cost Education from Class 2nd to Class 12th in Private School by filling Offline Application Form of Haryana Cheerag Yojana.
Benefits of Cheerag Yojana
- The below mentioned benefits will be provided to students of Haryana under Cheerag Yojana :-
- Free of Cost Education will be provided to Selected Students in Private Schools.
- Free of Cost Education will be provided from Class 2nd to Class 12th.
- Government of Haryana will pay the School Fees of Selected Students.
- The below mentioned School Fees per Students will be paid by Haryana Government to Private Schools :-
- Rs. 700/- per month for Class 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
- Rs. 900/- per month for Class 6th, 7th, and 8th.
- Rs. 1100/- per month for Class 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.
Eligibility Conditions of Cheerag Yojana
- Government of Haryana sets the following eligibility conditions for the beneficiaries to avail the benefit of Cheerag Yojana :-
- Student should be a Permanent Resident of Haryana.
- Parents of Student should not be a Government Employee or Pensioner.
- Student should passed his/ her previous class from Haryana Government School.
- Student should willing to take Admission from Class 2nd to Class 12th in Private School.
- The Annual Family Income should not be more than Rs. 1,80,000/-.

- Residence Proof of Haryana.
- Following Documents of Child :-
- Aadhar Card.
- Birth Certificate.
- Passport Size Photo.
- Caste Certificate. (If belong to SC/ ST/ OBC)
- Transfer/ Leaving Certificate from Previous School.
- Family Income Certificate.
- Family ID Parivar Pehchan Patra.
- Aadhar Card or Voter Identity Card of Mother.
- Aadhar Card or Voter Identity Card of Father.

How to Apply for Cheerag Yojana
- Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for Haryana Cheerag Yojana through Offline Application Form.
- Application Form of Haryana Cheerag Yojana is available free of cost at Private Schools.
- Applicant has to fill the Application Form of Cheerag Yojana carefully.
- Attach all the required documents will the application form.
- Submit the Application Form of Cheerag Yojana along with all the documents in that Private School in which Students wants to Study.
- Application Form and Documents will be scrutinized by the School.
- After initial scrutiny, private school will upload the details of selected students on MIS Portal.
- After final approval from the department, selected students will get admission in private school.
- No School Fees will be charged from Students admitted through Cheerag Yojana.
- Parents of Students can get reminder through SMS or Email on every stage of application.
