Introduction of Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana: A Brief Insight

Today health treatments got very much costlier due to inflation.
And if a person is suffering from major life threatning disease then there will be a lot more money needed.
So in the year 2020, Himachal Pradesh Government gave a relief to those people who are suffering from major diseases by starting new financial assistance scheme for them.
The name of scheme is “Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana” in which Sahara means support.
Other major well known name of this scheme are “Chief Minister Sahara Scheme of HP” or “Mukhya Mantri Sahara Scheme” or “Chief Minister Sahara Yojana”.
The main aim behind starting this scheme is to provide essential financial support to those people of Himachal Pradesh who are suffering from fatal diseases which are life-threatening.
Health and Family Welfare Department of Himachal Government is the responsible department of this scheme.
Whereas Swasthya Bima Yojana Society is the implementing agency of Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana.
Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide monthly financial assistance to all eligible people who are suffering from any major life threatning disease.
Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per Month under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana will be provided to all beneficiaries.
The life-threatening disease which are eligible for financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana is mentioned below :-
- Confirmed Case of Parkinson.
- Patients Suffering from Malignant Cancer Disease.
- Patients Suffering from Paralysis which causes Disability or bedridden.
- Muscular Dystrophy.
- Thalassemia.
- Hemophilia.
- Patient Suffering from Acute or Chronic Renal Failure.
- Any Disease which causes Permanent Disability to a Person.
Medical Records that proves the disease is mandatorily needed.
Only persons belongs to Economically Weaker Sections are only eligible to apply for financial assistance under the Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana.
If the annual family income of a person is more than Rs. 4 Lakh in a year then he/ she is not eligible to apply for financial assistance.
The government of Himachal Pradesh provides both way application facility to beneficiaries in which they can apply under this scheme through Online Application Form and through Offline Application Form.
Online Application Form is available on the Official Website of Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana.
Whereas, Offline Application Form of Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana can be obtained from Chief Medical Officer.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

Those persons who are suffering from dangerous diseases can get the below mentioned benefits under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana of Government of Himachal Pradesh Government :-
- Monthly Financial Assistance for their Medical Treatment will be Provided.
- Each Beneficiaries will get Rs. 3,000/- per month assistance under this Scheme.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per month under Himachal Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana will be only provided to those beneficiary applicant’s who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-

Only Permanent Residents of Himachal Pradesh are Eligible to Apply.
Applicant belong to Economically Weaker Section Category. (EWS)
Beneficiary Applicant’s Annual Income of Family should not be more than Rs. 4 Lakh per Year.
Patient/ Person Suffering from any of the below mentioned disease are eligible to apply :-
- Acute and Chronic Renal Failure.
- Thalassemia.
- Hemophilia.
- Paralysis.
- Muscular Dystrophy.
- Parkinson.
- Malignant Cancer.
- Life Threatning Disease of any type which causes Disability.

Documents Required to be Attached

Eligible Beneficiaries will have to attach or upload the following documents in order to avail the benefit of monthly financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per month from Himachal Pradesh Government under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana :-
- Domicile Certificate or Permanent Resident Proof of Himachal Pradesh.
- Valid Photo Identity Card like Aadhar Card or Voter Identity Card.
- BPL Ration Card or Certificate.
- Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
- Documents related to Disease. (Medical Certificate)
- Family Income Certificate of Beneficiary.
- Life Certificate. (Also Submitted Time to Time)

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Yojana

Every person who are suffering from any life threatening disease can apply for monthly financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana through below mentioned ways :-
- Through Online Application Form.
- Through Offline Application Form.

Online Application Procedure

Government of Himachal Pradesh launched the Official Website of Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana through which beneficiary can apply by filling Online Application Form.
Open the Website and Click on New Registration.
Beneficiary will have to fill his/ her Aadhar Card Number and Click on Submit.
After that Beneficiary will have to fill the Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana of Himachal Pradesh.
Online Application Form is divided in 4 parts which are “Demography Details”, Beneficiary Details”, “Account Details”.
Fill all the details correctly in the Application Form and upload all the required documents.
Check the filled details once and then Click on Submit button to Submit it.
Website of Sahara Yojana will generate the Acknowledgement Number in favor of beneficiary.
Submitted Application Form of Sahara Yojana will verified by the concerned officials of Swasthya Bima Yojana Society of Himachal Pradesh Government.
Final approval will be given by Department of Health and Family Welfare.
List of Beneficiaries selected for monthly financial assistance will be made and Sahara Card for all benefiicaries will be generated.
Beneficiary can Download their Sahara Card Online from the Website with the help of their Aadhar Number or Sahara Number which is sent on mobile Number also
.
Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana Application Status can also be checked online with the help of Acknowledgement Number or Aadhaar Number.
Once monthly financial assistance started under Sahara Yojana then Beneficiary can also check regular Payment Status of Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana Online with help of Aadhaar Number or Sahara Number.

Offline Application Procedure

Eligible Beneficiaries can also apply for monthly financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana of Himachal Pradesh through Offline Application Form.
Offline Application Form can be collected from the Office of District Chief Medical Officer.
Application Form of Sahara Yojana can also be obtained from ASHA Worker or Block Medical Officer.
Take Application Form and fill it correctly.
Attach all the requisite documents with the application form.
Now, Submit Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana Application Form and Documents in the office of Chief Medical Officer.
Preliminary Verification of Application Forms and Documents will be done by ASHA Worker, Block Medical Officer and Health Workers.
List of eligible beneficiaries selected for monthly assistance will be forwarded to Chief Medical Officer for further approval.
Then the CMO of District will forward the applications to Swasthya Bima Yojana Society and thereafter to Department of Health and Family Welfare for final approval.
After final approval, financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- as promised under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana of Himachal will directly transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.
