Introduction of Haryana Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana on 17-09-2023.
• This scheme was started to support traditional artisans and craftsmen.
• In Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, each beneficiary artisan and craftsman is receiving Skill Training, Per Day Stipend, Assistance of Rs. 15,000/- for a Toolkit, Collateral-free Loans, Interest Subvention, and many more benefits.
• Following the footsteps of the Central Government and to provide additional support to the state’s artisans and craftsmen, the Haryana Government launched “Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana.
• This scheme is launched by Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Nayab Singh Saini on the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti on 17-09-2025.
• The main aim of starting this scheme is to provide additional financial support to all the registered traditional artisans (karigar) and craftsmen (shilpkar) of the Haryana State.
• According to the government data, 41,366 people of Haryana is registered under the Central Government’s PM Vishwakarma Yojana, out of which 30,655 have already received Skill Training and 12,000 artisans/craftsmen have received Rs. 15,000/- for the Toolkit.
• Rs. 56 Crore collateral-free loan was also disbursed under PM Vishwakarma Yojana to 6,000 beneficiaries of Haryana State.
• Now, the Haryana Government under Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana is going to provide additional financial support of Rs. 5,000/- to all artisans and craftsmen of the State who are registered and receiving skill training under the Government of India’s PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
• Financial Assistance of Rs. 5,000/- under Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Scheme of Haryana Government will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiary.
• There is no need to apply separately for the Government of Haryana’s Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana, all eligible beneficiaries will automatically receive the amount of Rs. 5,000/- into their Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Eligible Trades under Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana

• The following traditional trades artists and craftsmen registered in PM Vishwakarma Yojana are eligible to receive the additional financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- under Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana of Haryana Government :-

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Artisans or Craftsman of Haryana who are registered and undergoing skill training under the Central Government’s PM Vishwakarma Yojana will receive the following additional benefits under the Government of Haryana’s Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana :-
  • Additional Top-Up Financial Assistance will be provided by the Haryana Government.
  • Rs. 5,000/- will be provided to all registered Artisans and Craftsman of Haryana.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• The top-up assistance of Rs. 5,000/- under Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana of Haryana Government will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
  • Permanent Residents of Haryana are Eligible.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should be an Artisan (Karigar) or a Craftsman. (Shilpkar)
  • The Age of the Applicant should be 18 years or more.
  • Beneficiary Applicant should be registered and receiving skill training under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana.

• The following documents will be required to avail the additional benefit of Rs. 5,000/- under Haryana Government’s Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana :-
  • PM Vishwakarma Yojana Registration Number.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Details with IFSC Code.
  • PPP Card.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Chief Minister of Haryana launched Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana in the state on the occasion of Shri Vishwakarma Jayanti.
• Any registered traditional artists (karigar) and craftsman (shilpkar) are eligible to receive the top-up of Rs. 5,000/- directly in their bank account under Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana.
• As there is no specific details is available about this scheme’s application process.
• We assume that all eligible and registered artists and craftsmen of Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana are automatically eligible to receive the financial assistance of Rs. 5,000/- under the Haryana Government’s Mukhyamantri Vishwakarma Samman Yojana and there is no need to apply for it separately.
