Introduction of Kerala Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Kerala Government launched the Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme in the State on 20th of January 2026.
- The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to enhance the confidence of the youth by providing them much needed financial assistance for skill-based training so that they can secure better job for them.
- Labour Department of the Kerala Government is the implementing department of this scheme.
- This scheme is specifically started for those youths who are undergoing a skill enhancement training course or are currently preparing for a competitive examination.
- Kerala Government will provide a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month for a period of 1 year to every eligible youth.
- Class 12th/ VHSE/ ITI/ Diploma/ Degree Passed Youth who are currently undergoing a Skill Enhancement Training Course is eligible to receive monthly assistance under this scheme.
- Further, the youths who are preparing for competitive examinations like UPSC, SPSC, Navy, Army, Air Force, Banking, SSC, Railways and Central/ State Public Sector Undertakings is also eligible to apply for Rs. 1,000/- monetary assistance under Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme.
- The age limit under this scheme is 18 to 30 years and those youths are not eligible to apply if their families’ annual income is more than Rs. 5,00,000/- per year.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- Beneficiary Youth of Kerala who are preparing for competitive examination or undergoing a skill training course will receive the following benefits from the Kerala Government under the Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme :-
- Monthly Financial Assistance will be provided to selected youths.
- Each Beneficiary Youth will receive Rs. 1,000/- per month.
- Assistance will be provided under this scheme for only 1 year.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Kerala Government through its Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme will provide the Rs. 1,000/- per month assistance to only those youths who fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
- Permanent Resident Youth of Kerala is Eligible to Apply.
- The Age of the applicant should be between 18 to 30 years.
- The Annual Family Income of the applicants should be less than Rs. 5 lakh per year.
- The Applicant Youth should have passed Class 12th or VHSE or ITI or Diploma or Degree and be currently undergoing a Skill Enhancement Course.
- Applicant Youth preparing for Competitive Examination conducted by UPSC, State PSC, SSC, Defence, Bank, Railways and PSUs is also Eligible to apply.

- The Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme Online Application Form is available on the e-Emplyoment Exchange Portal of the Kerala Government.
- Visit the Portal and click on Apply Now or Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme from the header section.

- The Introduction and Eligibility of the CM Connect To Work Scheme will appear. Read it carefully and click on the proceed button.

- The next section is for required documents. Check all the documents before proceeding to apply.

- Click on the confirmation checkbox and proceed to fill out the Online Application.
