Introduction of Kerala Sthree Suraksha Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Kerala Government launched and started an online application for one of the most prominent welfare schemes named “Sthree Suraksha Scheme”, from 22-12-2025.
- The main objective behind starting this scheme is to financially support those women who are not beneficiaries of any other financial assistance scheme of the State or Central Government.
- Finance Department of the Kerala Government is the implementing department of this scheme.
- Women Beneficiaries will now receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month under Sthree Suraksha Scheme.
- But this scheme is not for all women applicants who are between 35 years to 60 years of age and who are not beneficiaries of any social security pension scheme are eligible to receive the monthly financial assistance under this scheme.
- It is mandatory to have an Antyodaya Anna Ration Card (AYY) which is known as the Yellow Ration Card or Priority Household (PHH) Ration Card, which is popularly known as the Pink Ration Card.
- If any woman applicant is already a beneficiary of any one of the below-mentioned schemes of the Kerala Government then she is not eligible to apply for monthly assistance under Sthree Suraksha Padhathi :-
- Widow’s Pension.
- Unmarried Pension.
- Disability Pension.
- Service Pension.
- Family Pension.
- Family Pension From Welfare Boards.
- EPF Pension.
- Or any Social Welfare Pension.
- Furthermore, women who are employees of the central or state government or any quasi-government authority are also not eligible to apply under the Sthree Suraksha Pension Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- Kerala Government will provide the following benefits to all eligible women applicants under its Sthree Suraksha Scheme :-
- Monthly Financial Assistance will be provided to eligible women.
- Eligible Women Beneficiaries will receive Rs. 1,000/- per month financial assistance directly in their bank account.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- The monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month will be provided by the Kerala Government to only those applicants who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of the Sthree Suraksha Scheme :-
- Permanent Resident Women and Transgenders of Kerala are eligible to apply.
- The Age of the applicant woman should be between 35 years to 60 years.
- Beneficiary Women Applicant should have any one of the following cards :-
- Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) Ration Card. (Yellow)
- Priority Household (PHH) Ration Card. (Pink Ration Card)
- Women such as widows, disabled, unmarried, who are currently receiving welfare pension/ assistance from any other source/ scheme are not eligible to apply.
- Women employees of the Central/ State Government or any Quasi-Government Institution are also not eligible for financial assistance under the Sthree Suraksha Scheme.

- Driving License.
- Passport.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Eligible Women Beneficiaries can apply online for the Sthree Suraksha Scheme of the Kerala Government.

- Register yourself on the portal with the help of your Aadhaar Card Number or Email/ Mobile Number.
