Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• The Central Government launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in 2019 for the country’s farmers, providing them with a yearly assistance of Rs. 6,000.
• But due to the hardship faced by farmers in agricultural activity, this amount is not enough as social security coverage.
• So, the Madhya Pradesh Government itself started its own financial assistance scheme for farmers to provide them with financial security cover.
• The name of the scheme is “Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana”.
• It was launched by the Madhya Pradesh Government in the year 2020.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to support farmers financially so that they can easily manage the expenses or losses incurred during agricultural activity.
• Mukhyamnantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana is implemented by the Agriculture Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government.
• Additional Financial Assistance of Rs. 6,000/- in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2,000/- will be provided to small and marginal farmers of Madhya Pradesh under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
• The disbursement of installments under CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana is as under :-
  • First Installment :- In April to July.
  • Second Installment :- In August to November.
  • Third Installment :- In December to March.
• Every farmer who is eligible under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is eligible to avail the benefit of additional financial assistance of Rs. 6,000/- per year under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• This means that small and marginal farmers of Madhya Pradesh will now get Rs. 12,000/- per year, combining the financial assistance of the Central Government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
• According to government sources, more than 81 lakh farmers of Madhya Pradesh State are getting the benefit of financial assistance under this scheme.
• And, more than 14,254 crore has been credited directly in the bank accounts of farmers.
• For the year 2025-2026, the Madhya Pradesh Government has a provision of 5,220 crore rupees in its budget for Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
• Registration under this scheme will be done by the Patwari.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Madhya Pradesh Government under its Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana will provide the following benefits to all eligible farmers of the State :-
  • Farmers will receive annual financial assistance of Rs. 6,000/-.
  • Rs. 6,000/- per year will be credited into farmer’s bank account in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2,000/- each.
  • Combining the amount of Rs. 6,000/- per year of PM Kisan, Farmers of Madhya Pradesh will now receive a total assistance of Rs. 12,000/- per year.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Additional Financial Assistance of Rs. 6,000/- under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana of Madhya Pradesh Government will be provided to only those beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
  • Permanent Resident Farmers of Madhya Pradesh are Eligible for Additional Benefits.
  • Beneficiary Farmer should have already received the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme.
  • Having Cultivable Agricultural Land is mandatory.

Documents Required to be Attached

• At the time of applying for yearly financial assistance under Madhya Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the following documents will have to be submitted by the farmer with the application form :-
  • Farmer Aadhaar Card.
  • PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Registration Number.
  • Registered Mobile Number.
  • Current Passport Size Photograph.
  • Cultivable Agricultural Land Related Documents.
  • Proof of Residence of Madhya Pradesh.
  • SAMAGRA ID.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Beneficiary Farmers of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will have to register themselves under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana of the Madhya Pradesh Government to avail the additional benefits of Rs. 6,000/- per year.
• Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana is available in the Tehsil Office.
• Visit the Tehsil Office of your area and take the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana Application Form.
• Fill in the details in the application form correctly and attach all the required documents with it.
• Submit the Madhya Pradesh CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana Application Form along with all the documents to the Patwari of your area.
• Patwari will verify the details of the submitted application form and documents with details available on the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Portal.
• List of Farmers found to be eligible for additional assistance of Rs. 6,000/- under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana will be forwarded to the Agriculture Department for further approval.
• Farmers will receive the amount of assistance directly in their bank account in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2,000/- each.
• Madhya Pradesh Government’s Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana Application/ Payment Status can be checked with Aadhaar Number, Bank Account Number or PM Kisan ID on the SAARA Portal.
