Meritorious Students who passed their Class 12th board examination with 75% marks or more will now receive financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- to purchase a laptop under the Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, also known as the Laptop Distribution Scheme of the Madhya Pradesh Government.

Introduction of Madhya Pradesh Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• In the year 2009, the Madhya Pradesh Government launched one of the major educational welfare schemes named Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana.
• It is the laptop distribution scheme of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
• The main objective of the government behind launching this scheme is to provide support to meritorious students so that they can purchase the laptop and include digital touch in their studies.
• Madhya Pradesh Government’s School Education Department is the implementing department of this scheme.
• The government will provide financial assistance to meritorious students of class 12^th who secured 75% or more marks in their board examination to purchase a laptop.
• Rs. 25,000/- will be provided to eligible students to purchase a laptop under Madhya Pradesh Government Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana.
• Students who passed their 12^th class with 70% or more marks from the Board of Secondary Education are only eligible to receive financial assistance to purchase a laptop.
• On the 4^th of July 2025, 94,234 students had received laptop assistance directly in their bank accounts, which was disbursed by CM Mohan Yadav in a public function in Bhopal.
• There is a dedicated section on the Shiksha Portal of the Madhya Pradesh Government for the Laptop Distribution Scheme for Meritorious Students through which beneficiary students can check their Eligibility, Payment Status and Registered complaints regarding the Laptop Distribution Scheme of the MP Government.
  
• Beneficiary Students can check their Payment Status of Laptop Incentive to Meritorious Students (Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana) of Madhya Pradesh through their Class 12^th Roll Number.
  
• The mother of students can apply for the “Ladli Behna Scheme” or “Ladli Behna Awas Scheme” of the Madhya Pradesh Government if eligible.
• Meritorious Girls Students can also apply to get a free-of-cost scooty under “Mukhyamantri Balika Scooty Yojana” of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Madhya Pradesh Government will provide the below mentioned benefits to those students who secure 75% or more marks in their Class 12^th board examination under its Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana :-
  • Financial Assistance will be provided to purchase a laptop.
  • Each meritorious student will receive Rs. 25,000/- for a laptop.
  • Assistance will be transferred directly into the bank account of the student.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- to purchase a laptop will be provided to only those meritorious students who fulfill the following eligibility criteria of Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana of the Government of Madhya Pradesh :-
  • Permanent Resident Students of Madhya Pradesh are Eligible.
  • Beneficiary Student should have secured 75% or more marks in their Class 12^th Board Examination.
  • Beneficiary Student should have passed their Class 12^th from the Board of Secondary Education.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Beneficiary Students will have to submit the following documents at their school to avail the benefit of financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- for the purchase of a laptop under Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana of the Madhya Pradesh Government :-
  • Student Identity Card.
  • Class 12^th Marksheet/ Certificate or Result.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Any other Documents asked by the School.
  • Recent Color Passport Size Photograph.
  • Class 12^th Roll Number.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Madhya Pradesh Government didn’t provide the facility for students to directly apply for laptop assistance of Rs. 25,000/- under Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana.
• The respective school from which students passed their Class 12^th will prepare the list of meritorious students who secured 75% or more marks in the board examination as per the declared result.
• Beneficiary students will have to submit the required documents to their school.
• School will then forward the List of Eligible Students of Pratibhashali Chatra Protsahan Yojana of the MP Government to the District Education Officer for verification.
• District Education Officer will verify the details of the students and further forward the list to the School Education Department for disbursement of financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- under the Laptop Distribution Scheme for Meritorious Students.
• This is a DBT Scheme in which the amount for the purchase of a laptop will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary student.
• Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Mohan Yadav disbursed more than 235 crore in the bank account of more than 94,000 students on the 4^th of July 2025 to purchase a laptop.
• In case of any help or assistance required regarding Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, for eg. if the student didn’t receive the laptop assistance, then the beneficiary student can file an online complaint/ grievance with the help of their Class 12^th Roll Number and Mobile Number as shown below.
