Odisha Subhadra Scheme

Government of Odisha is all set to launch the Subhadra Scheme in State. The main objective behind starting Subhadra Scheme in Odisha is to make women self reliant financially. Subhadra Scheme will definitely support women of state financially and encourages them to spend more and more monetarily.

Introduction of Scheme

• Assembly Election of Odisha State is recently concluded.
• Bhartiye Janta Party wins the election with majority and forms the Government.
• During their election campaign, BJP announced lots of welfare scheme to be implemented if they come in power after winning election.
• One of the announced scheme is Subhadra Scheme.
• Subhadra Scheme is announced with an objective to support women of Odisha financially and make them independent in term of money.
• It is to be expected that Women and Child Development Department of Odisha is the implementing department of this scheme.
• Subhadra Scheme is going to be known as “Odisha Subhadra Yojana” or “Odisha Subhadra Jojana” or “Odisha Financial Assistance Scheme for Women” after its implementation in the State.
• Subhadra Scheme is not a direct financial assistance scheme.
• Government of Odisha will provide a cash voucher to all eligible women beneficiaries.
• A cash voucher of Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty thousand rupees only) will be provided to all women under Subhadra Scheme of Odisha Government.
• This Subhadra Cash Voucher of Rs. 50,000/- can be encashed by beneficiary women for a period of 2 years.
• This will ensure the financial stability in the life of women and her family.
• Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha Smt. Pravati Parida make an announcement on 24-06-2024 that within 100 days Subhadra Scheme will be implemented in Odisha.
• Now according to the updated information available, Subhadra Scheme will going to launch in Odisha on PM Narendra Modi’s Birthday i.e. on 17th of September 2024.
• Odisha Government also submits a proposal of additional funds for Subhadra Scheme to Central Government for its better implementation.
• Application Form of Subhadra Scheme is not available yet.
• It is to be expected that, Website of Subhadra Scheme will also launched by the Government for better monitoring.
• Women Beneficiary will have to wait little bit more in order to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Subhadra Scheme.

Benefits Provided to Women

• Odisha Government will provide the following benefits to all eligible women of state under its newly announced Subhadra Scheme :-
  

  A Cash Voucher of 50,000/- will be provided. This Cash Voucher can be encashed within 2 years of time.

Eligibility Conditions Sets by Government

• Government of Odisha sets the following eligibility condition for women beneficiaries in order to provide them the benefit of Subhadra Scheme :-
  

  Beneficiary should be a Women. Women Beneficiary should be a permanent resident of Odisha State. The Age of Women Beneficiary should be more than 21 Years. Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be released with the scheme official guidelines.

• Documents that are required at the time of applying for cash voucher of 50,000/- under Subhadra Scheme of Odisha Government are mentioned below :-
  

  Domicile or Residence Proof of Odisha. Aadhar Card of Women Beneficiary. Bank Account Details. Certificate of Income. (Not older than 6 months) Caste Certificate. Mobile Number. 1 Passport Size Photo.

What is the Application Process

• Odisha Subhadra Scheme is the election announcement of Bhartiye Janta Party to woo the women voters.
• As they win the Odisha state assemble elections so there is a obligation to start Subhadra Scheme in State as soon as possible.
• Cabinet approval is mandatorily needed to launch Subhadra Scheme in Odisha.
• As soon as newly formed cabinet gave its nod to launch, the concerned department will make the guidelines of Subhadra Scheme.
