Introduction of Delhi PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Central Government is providing financial assistance of Rs. 6,000/- per year to farmers of the country under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
• To provide additional support to the farmers of Delhi, the Government took an important step by announcing a new welfare scheme for the farmers in the budget 2025-2026.
• The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme (दिल्ली पीएम किसान सम्मान निधि राज्य टॉप-अप योजना) will going to be launched by the Delhi Government for the farmers of the State.
• The main objective of the scheme is to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers of Delhi and encourage the agriculture sector of the State.
• Delhi Government’s Agriculture Department will be the implementing department of this scheme.
• Now, the small and marginal farmers of Delhi will receive the additional financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per year directly in their bank account under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme.
• This financial assistance is different from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme of the Central Government.
• This means that farmers of Delhi will now receive a total financial assistance of Rs. 9,000/- per year, in which Rs. 3,000 will be provided under Delhi PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme and Rs. 6,000/- under the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
• Financial Assistance under the Government of Delhi’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be disbursed in 3 equal installment of Rs. 1,000/- each.
• Each farmer who is currently a beneficiary of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme is eligible to receive the additional top-up assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per year.
• Rs. 4.85 Crore is allocated by the Delhi Government for the smooth implementation of this scheme.
• Only this much information about the Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme of the Delhi Government is available right now.
• Delhi Government will launch this scheme very soon.

• If any farmer has a pending water bill with a huge amount of surcharge, then under the LPSC Rebate Scheme of the Delhi Government, the surcharge amount will be waived off if the principal amount is submitted till 31-03-2026.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Small and Marginal Farmers of Delhi who are receiving Rs. 6,000/- per year assistance under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana of the Central Government will get the following benefits under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme :-
  • Additional Financial Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- will be provided to Farmers.
  • Assistance will be provided in 3 equal instalments of Rs. 1,000/- each.
  • Amount of Assistance will be directly transferred to the same bank account in which the beneficiary farmer is receiving PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme benefits.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Additional Assistance of Rs. 3,000/- per year under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme of the Government of Delhi will be provided to those beneficiaries who fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria of the scheme :-
  • Delhi’s Permanent Residents are Eligible to Apply.
  • Applicant should be a Small or Marginal Farmer.
  • Applicant should be a Beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

• The following documents will be required at the time of applying for the Delhi Government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme :-
  • Residence Proof of Delhi.
  • Mobile Number.
  • Registration Number of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Recent Colour Passport Size Photo.
  • Documents Related to Agricultural Land.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Small and Marginal Farmers of Delhi who are already receiving the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme can receive the additional financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- automatically in their bank account.
• Delhi Government has already allocated the budget of Rs. 4.85 crore for the distribution of funds to farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme.
• At present, the application process of this scheme is not clear.
• Government of Delhi will very soon launch this scheme officially for the farmers of the State.
• Beneficiary Farmers will have to wait a little bit more to avail the benefits of additional financial assistance of Rs. 3,000/- under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi State Top-Up Scheme of the Delhi Government.
