Introduction of Rajasthan Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• The Rajasthan Government launched the Vishesh Yogyajan Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana in the year 1997.
• Since then, this scheme has been amended lots of time by the government.
• This scheme was started to support newly married couples where either one partner or both partners have a disability.
• The main objective of the government behind starting this scheme is to give financial strength and social security to specially-abled individuals after marriage, so they can begin their new life with confidence and dignity.
• Rajasthan Government’s Social Justice and Empowerment Department is the implementing agency of this scheme.
• Under this scheme, the government gives one-time financial assistance to eligible couples.
• If the disability is 40% or more, the couple receives Rs. 50,000 under the Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Rajasthan Government through its Vishesh Yogyajan Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana will provide the following benefits to married disabled couples :-
  • One Time Financial Assistance will be provided to selected couples.
  • Rs. 50,000/- assistance will be provided to those couples who have 40% or more disability.
  • Rs. 5,00,000/- assistance will be provided to those couples who have 80% or more disability.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• Financial Assistance for marriage will be provided by the Rajasthan Government to only those applicants who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana :-
  • Permanent Resident Applicants of Rajasthan are eligible to Apply.
  • Either the Bride or Groom or both should have a Disability of 40% or more.
  • The Age of the Bride should not be less than 18 years.
  • The Age of the Groom should not be less than 21 years.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Newly married couples in which both partners or either one of them is differently abled can apply for Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana through the following methods :-
  • Through the Single Sign-On Portal.
  • Through the E Mitre Centre.

Online Application through SSO Portal

• Eligible Applicants can apply online to receive financial assistance for marriage under the Rajasthan Government’s Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana.
• Vishesh Yogyajan Sukhad Dampatya Jeevan Yojana Online Application Form is available on the Single Sign On Portal.
• Applicant will have to visit the Single Sign On Portal and register themselves with the help of their Email ID or Jan Aadhaar Card.
  
• User Name and Password for Login will be sent by the portal on registered Email ID of the applicant.
• After Logging in, search for “SJMS DSAP” and click on it.
  
• A new window will appear from which the applicant will have to click on Sukhad Dampatya & Swarojgar Yojana.
  
• Now, select Sukhad Dampatya Yojana and enter your Jan Aadhaar Card Number.
  
• Portal will verify the Jan Aadhaar Card Number through OTP.

• Applicants can also apply for assistance for marriage under the Sukhad Dampataya Jeevan Yojana by visiting their nearest E Mitra Centre.
• The operator present at the E Mitra Kendra will fill the online application form of this scheme on behalf of the applicant.
• You have to provide all the required documents to the E Mitra Operator which will be uploaded in pdf format.
• An acknowledgement receipt will be provided by the operator after submission of the application, which can be used to track the status of the application.
• The District Social Welfare Officer verified and approved the application and forwarded it to the department for further verification.
• The amount of assistance will be transferred to the bank account of the applicant after final verification.
