Introduction of Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan: A Brief Insight
- Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gave a gift to crores of women on his birthday (17-09-2025) by launching one of the largest welfare programme for them.
- The name of the programme is “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan”.(स्वस्थ नारी सशक्त परिवार अभियान)
- The main objective behind starting this health care programme is to provide women-centric preventive, promotive and curative health services at the community level to reduce the Maternal and Infant Mortality Rate in the country.
- Through this initiative, the Government aims to strengthen the screening among women to detect the non-communicable and life-threatening diseases early.
- On the launch event in Madhya Pradesh Dhar, Prime Minister further quoted that “Our Mother and Sisters, Our Nari Shakti, are the main Aadhar of our Rashtra Pragati. If a mother is healthy, the whole family stays healthy”.
- PM dedicates this campaign to mothers and sisters of the country for their healthy future.
- PM further states that “Nari Shakti is a key Pillar of Viksit Bharat and Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar is a Maha Abhiyaan towards bringing about women-led development”.
- Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan will be implemented by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- Through Community Health Centers, Public Health Centers, District Government Hospitals, Ayushman Arogya Mandir and Anganwadi Centers, more than 10 lakh health camps will be organized across the country under Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan to provide health care facilities to women.
- Health Camps organized for women and girls beneficiaries under Swath Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan will help in better screening, early detection and treatment of major health issues such as :-
- Non-Communicable Diseases.
- Hypertension.
- Diabetes.
- Cancer.
- Anemia.
- Breast Cancer.
- Oral Cancer.
- Cervical Cancer.
- Tuberculosis.
- Sickle Cell Disease.
- Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan will also focus on improving the health of mothers and their children and girls by providing them with the following health care benefits :-
- Antenatal Care.
- Vaccination Support.
- Nutrition Support.

- Lifestyle and Mental Health Guidance.
- Preventing Obesity.
- Promote Voluntary Blood Donation.
- From 17th September 2025 to 2nd of October 2025, daily health care camps will be organised in CHCs, PHCs, AAM-SHC, Anganwadi Centre and Government District Hospitals, in which basic health check-ups, registration in health care schemes such as “PM Matru Vandana Yojana” and Ayushman Vaya Vanadana Yojana” and many more benefits will be provided to women beneficiaries.
- To avail themselves of the benefits of healthcare facilities under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Nari Abhiyan of the Central Government, women beneficiaries will have to visit the health camps.

- There is no need to directly apply to avail the benefits of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan of the Government of India.
- From September 17th to October 2nd, Health Camps will be organised across the country.
