Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme is the educational reform scheme of Tamil Nadu Government. This Scheme is also called the Pudhumai Penn Scheme. Introduction of Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme: A Brief Insight

Girl faction of society faces lots of problems from birth to till their death.
Some of the common problems faced by the girl is killing her in womb, no basic education, child marriage and many more to count.
Every State Government do welfare work for Girls of State to make their life easier.
Tamil Nadu Government also take major step for the welfare of girls of State by launching Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme.
This Scheme is also known as “Padhumai Penn Scheme” or “மூவலூர் ராமாமிர்தம் அம்மையார் உயர்கல்வி உறுதி திட்டம்”.
The main objective behind launching Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme is :-
- To Increase Girl Child Birth.
- To Stop Early Child Marriage.
- To Encourage them to Pursue Higher Education.
Tamil Nadu Government’s Department of Social Welfare and Women Empowerment is the nodal department of this scheme.
Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme is earlier known as “Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme” in which Government of Tamil Nadu provide financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- for the Marriage of Girls.
But to serve more and encourage girls to pursue higher education instead of chose to get married, Government of Tamil Nadu change the name and benefits of “Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme” to Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme.
Under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, Government of Tamil Nadu will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month to Girl Students of Tamil Nadu.
Financial Assistance will only be provided to those Girl Students who are studying regular Graduate Courses in Tamil Nadu.
Only those Girl Students of Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme who completed their Class 6^th to Class 12^th Education from the Government of Tamil Nadu Schools.
Girl Students taking education from Distance Mode are not eligible to apply.
Financial Assistance will not be provided to postgraduate studying Girl Students.
Eligible female students can apply for monthly financial assistance by applying Online on Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme Official Website.
Girl Students also check their Application Status on Old Website of Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme by logging in with their phone number.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

The following financial assistance will be provided to eligible Girls Students of Tamil Nadu under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme :-

Rs. 1,000/- per Month.
Financial Assistance will be provided to only those Girls who are studying in Undergraduate Courses.
Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per Month will be given to beneficiaries till the completion of their course.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

The following eligibility conditions needed to be fulfilled to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme :-

Permanent Residents of Tamil Nadu.
Applicant should be a Girl Student.
Only below mentioned Girls are eligible to apply for financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme :-
- Girl should passed her Class 6^th to Class 12^th Education from Government School.
- Girl should be presently studying in any Undergraduate Course.

Exception :- Girl Students taken admission under Right to Education and passed their Class 6^th to Class 8^th Education from Private School and after that passed their Class 9^th to Class 12^th Education from Government Schools can also apply under this scheme.

Ineligibility Conditions of this Scheme

If Girl Students falls under any of the below mentioned category then she is not eligible to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme :-

All the Girls Students are ineligible to apply for financial assistance if they completed their Class 6^th to Class 12^th Education from Private School.
If the Girl is a Student of Post Graduate Course.
If the Girl is Pursuing her Education through :-
- Correspondence or Distance Mode.
- From Open University.

The following documents will be required to avail the financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme :-

Aadhar Card of Girl.
Residence Proof of Tamil Nadu.
Girl Student Photograph.
Class 10^th Marksheet.
Class 10^th Certificate.
Class 12^th Marksheet.
Class 12^th Certificate.
School Leaving or Transfer Certificate.
Caste Certificate of Girl. (If belongs to any special category)
Family Income Certificate.
Bank Account Details.

Girl Students completed their Class 6^th to Class 12^th Education from any of the below mentioned Government Schools are eligible to apply for financial assistance under Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme :-

Backward and Most Backward Welfare Schools.
Schools run by any of the following department of Government of Tamil Nadu :-
- Department of Welfare of Differently Abled.
- Department of Forest and Social Defense.
- Municipal Corporation or Municipalities.
- Department of Tribal Welfare.
- Department of Panchayati Raj.
Schools of Kallar Reclamation.
Schools of Adi Dravidar Welfare.

Eligible Girls Students will have to Register themselves first on portal.
Fill the Registration Form of Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme step wise :-

- Previous School Related Details.
- Bank Account Details.
- Upload the Documents.
Preview the Application Form of Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme carefully before hitting the submit button.
Click on Submit Button after previewing the Application Form.
Application Form and Documents will then forward to District Welfare Officer for verification.
Verification will be done by concerned authority on college level also.
After verification application will be forwarded for disbursement of financial assistance.
Financial assistance of Rs. 1,000/- per month will be disbursed every month in the given bank account of Girl Student.
