Telangana KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme

Telangana KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme is the health care scheme of Karnataka Government to provide nutritional items to pregnant women of Telangana. Telangana KCR Nutrition Kit launched date is 21st of December 2021. Free of Cost Nutrition Kit which contains Nutrition Mix Powder, Khajoor (Dates), Iron Syrup Bottles, Ghee, Cup and Peanut Chikki will be provided to every Pregnant Woman of Telangana State.

Introduction of KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme

• During the time of pregnancy period, extra care and attention is needed for pregnant women.
• But in most of the cases pregnant women did not get mandatory nutrition which is needed at the time of pregnancy.
• This will directly effect the health of a newborn child and also in some cases pregnant women faces difficulty at the time of delivery.
• Keeping these things in mind, Government of Telangana takes major initiative by starting KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme in the State.
• Telangana Nutrition Kit Scheme is the major welfare scheme of Telangana Government.
• The launch date of KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme is 21^st of December 2022.
• The main aim of starting KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme is to provide needed nutrient to Pregnant Women during the time of her pregnancy.
• Telangana Government’s Department of Health, Medical & Family Welfare is the responsible department of KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme.

• Consuming these items will reduce the risk of Anemia and Malnutrition and improves the levels of hemoglobin in the Pregnant Women.
• Every Pregnant Women of Telangana are eligible to get KCR Nutrition Kit.
• It is to be estimated that more than 13 Lakhs KCR Nutrition Kits is distributed among the 7 Lakh Pregnant Women of Telangana State.
• KCR Nutrition Kit will only provided to 2 Living Child of Women Beneficiary.
• And if women beneficiary gives birth to a child in a government hospital then she can also avail the benefit of one time financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- for boy and Rs. 13,000/- for Girl under MCH Kit Scheme of Telangana Government.
• There is no online application process is available to apply for KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme.
• Eligible Pregnant Women of Telangana State can get her KCR Nutrition Kit by visiting her nearest Anganwadi Center or contact the ASHA Worker.
• Also women of Telangana can also avail the benefit of Mahalakshmi Scheme in which monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,500/- per month and LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- will be provided.

Benefits Provided to Pregnant Women

• The following benefits will be provided to Pregnant Women of Telangana under KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme :-
  

  Pregnant Women Beneficiary will get Monthly KCR Nutrition Kit. The time period in which Pregnant Women Beneficiary will get KCR Nutrition Kit are :- At the time of Second Check Up When Pregnant Women Pregnancy is in 14 Weeks to 26 Weeks. And When Pregnant Women Pregnancy is in 27 Weeks to 34 Weeks. Every KCR Nutrition Kit has the following healthy items :- Nutrition Mix Powder 1 KG. Khajoor (Dates) 1KG. Iron Syrup 3 Bottles. Ghee 500 Grams. 1 Cup. Peanut Chikki 200 Grams.

Eligibility Conditions Set for Women

• The following eligibility conditions is set to provide Nutrition Kit under Telangana Government’s KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme :-
  

  Beneficiary Should be a Permanent Resident of Telangana. Beneficiary Should be a Pregnant Women. The Age of Women Beneficiary Should be more than 18 Years. Annual Income of Women Beneficiary Family should be below Rs. 1,20,000/-. KCR Nutrition Kit will only be provided to 2 Living Child of the Beneficiary.

Documents Required to be Attached with the Application Form

• The below-mentioned documents is required to get a Nutrition Kit under the KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme of Telangana Government:-
  

  Any One Residence Proof of Telangana:- Domicile. Voter Identity Card. Ration Card. Passport. Women Beneficiary’s Aadhar Card. Annual Income Certificate of Family. Beneficiary Caste Certificate.

How Women Beneficiary Can Apply

• Every Pregnant Woman of Telangana is eligible to get KCR Nutrition Kit.
• The Application Process of KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme is so simple.
• Eligible Pregnant Women Beneficiaries can visit their nearest Anganwadi Center and meet the Anganwadi or Asha Worker.
• Anganwadi/ ASHA Worker will do all the paperwork on behalf of beneficiary and get the beneficiary registered under Telangana KCR Nutrition Kit Scheme by filling the Offline Registration Form of Nutrition Kit Scheme.
• KCR Nutrition Kit will be distributed among Pregnant Women Beneficiaries through Anganwadi Centers.
• KCR Nutrition Kit will be provided to Pregnant Women every month from her 14^th Week of Pregnancy to 34^th Week of Pregnancy.
• Women Beneficiary can collect their KCR Nutrition Kit from the Anganwadi Center of their area.

If implemented properly, then Telangana will soon become finish the malnutrition among the new bon children’s. But according to sources, Nutrition Kit is not distributed among pregnant ladies in some of the districts and this causes the reduction of impact of scheme.
