Introduction of Scheme: A Brief Insight
- Chief Minister of Telangana Shri Anumula Revanth Reddy announced Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme on 20th of July 2024.
- The main aim behind starting this scheme is to support and encourage candidates to prepared well and perform well in the upcoming UPSC CSE 2024 Mains Examination.
- Every year more than 10 lakh students across India and more than 1 lakh students from Telangana takes part in UPSC Civil Services Examination.
- This year many candidates from Telangana successfully cleared the 2024 Pre Examination of UPSC Civil Services.
- So, Telangana Government decided to support those students financially so that they prepare for their mains examination without thinking about the financial hurdle.
- Singareni Collieries Company Limited is the implementing body of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme.
- This scheme is also know by some popular names such as “Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Pathakam” or “Rajiv Gandhi Civil Abhayahastham Scheme” or “Telangana Financial Assistance Scheme for UPSC Mains Examination”.
- Rs. 1,00,000/- will be provided by Telangana Government to UPSC CSE Pre 2024 Qualified candidates under its newly announced Rajiv Gandhi Civil Abhaya Hastham Scheme.
- Candidate belonging to Schedule Tribe, Schedue Caste, Economically Weaker Section and Other Backward Class are only eligible to apply for financial assistance.
- Candidates who annual family income is more than Rs. 8,00,000/- per year are not eligible to avail the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme.
- UPSC Pre Application Form and Admit is mandatorily needed at the time of applying.
- Application Form of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme is started from 22-07-2024.
- The last date to apply for financial assistance under Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme was 06-08-2024 till 5 PM in the evening.
- But the last date has extended, now beneficiary can apply for Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme till 12-08-2024.

Eligibility Conditions Required to Fulfilled
- Government of Telangana sets the following eligibility conditions in order to provide the financial assistance for the preparation of UPSC CSE Mains examination under Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme :-
- Candidate should be the Permanent Resident of Telangana.
- Candidate should have qualified for the mains examination of UPSC CSE 2024.
- Only those Candidates are eligible to apply who belongs to any of the following category :-
- Schedule Tribe. (ST)
- Schedule Caste. (SC)
- Other Backward Class. (OBC)
- Economically Weaker Section. (EWS)
- Candidates Annual Family Income should be less than Rs. 8,00,000/ per year.
