Introduction of Uttar Pradesh Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Uttar Pradesh Government runs many welfare schemes for the people of Uttar Pradesh.
• Every time, there are a lot of documents needed to be submitted by the beneficiaries to avail the benefit of the welfare scheme.
• Most of the times it may be difficult for government officials to maintain the record of beneficiary documents.
• This will lead to mismanagement and consume lots of time to verify those documents.
• So to cut short the process, the Government of Uttar Pradesh implemented Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana in the State.

• Planning Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh is the implementing department of Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana.
• As the meaning is clear from the name, this is the initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide a Unique 12 Digit Identification Number to each family of Uttar Pradesh.
• Ek Parivar means “One Family” and Ek Pahchan means “One Identity Card”, which means each beneficiary family has its own identity card.
• Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana is also called “Family ID – One Family One Identity Scheme” or “Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Scheme”.
• This 12 Digit Unique Family ID will be used by the beneficiary family to avail the welfare schemes of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
• Earlier, Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana was known as Family Welfare Scheme”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• The following benefits will be provided to people of Uttar Pradesh who hold a Unique Family ID under Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana :-
  

  A Unique 12 Digit Family ID will be provided to Beneficiaries. This Unique Family ID will be mandatorily needed to avail the benefit of the welfare schemes of the Uttar Pradesh Government. The beneficiary can use the Family ID to avail the benefit of the following welfare scheme :- For Pension. Farmer Subsidy and Grant. Scholarship. Skill Development Programs. For Employment Opportunities. Grant to Labourer. And For Other Welfare Schemes.

• The following eligibility conditions are required to make a Unique Family ID under Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana of the Uttar Pradesh Government :-
  

  Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Uttar Pradesh.

  Aadhar Card of Family Members. Family Ration Card. Mobile Number.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• The beneficiary can apply for a Unique Family ID by visiting the Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan Yojana Portal.
• The beneficiary has to Register themselves first by entering their name and Mobile Number.
• Mobile Number will be verified through OTP by the Portal.
• After OTP verification, Sign In on the portal by entering your registered mobile number.
• After Sign In, the beneficiary has to enter his/ her Aadhar Card in the Online Application Form of Family ID to proceed further.
• After that, add family members one by one by entering their Aadhar Numbers.
• After adding all the family members, successfully click on the submit application button.
• A provisional registration number will be generated by the portal which can be used to track the Application.
• Verification of the application will be done by the concerned officials.
• After verification, Family ID – Ek Parivar Ek Pahchan will be provided to the beneficiary.
• It is to be noted here that there is no need to apply afresh for Family ID for Ration Card Holders.
• Their Ration Card number is their Family ID.
• They can directly print their Family ID by registering themselves on the portal.
