Introduction of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana: A Brief Insight

Care of Girl Childs in pre and post delivery stage is very important for the welfare of both Mother and her Girl Child.
But due to financial problems, most of the mother could not take minimum requirement of proteins and other required supplements per day.
And if somehow they manages to take care things in pre and post delivery period then they faced financial crunch to get her a proper education.
So keeping things in mind Government of Uttar Pradesh started major financial assistance scheme in whole of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Government named this scheme as “Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana” or “उत्तर प्रदेश मुख्यमंत्री कन्या सुमंगला योजना” or “Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kanya Sumangla Scheme”.
It was started on April 1^st 2019.
This scheme is also called as “Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Scheme” or “Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kanya Sumangla Scheme”.
Department of Women & Child Development of Government of Uttar Pradesh is the responsible department of this scheme.
The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial security to new born girl child of Uttar Pradesh and encourage them to complete her basic education and pursue higher education.
This scheme will help Uttar Pradesh Government to reduce the infant mortality rate in the State and stops child marriage.
Financial Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- will be provided by Government of Uttar Pradesh to beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana.
The financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana will be distributed among beneficiaries are as follows :-
- Rs. 5,000/- will be given at the time of Birth of a Girl Child.
- Rs. 2,000/- will be given when Girl Child attain the age of 1 year and fully immunized.
- Rs. 3,000/- will be given when Girl Child take admission in Class 1^st.
- Rs. 3,000/- will be given when Girl Child take admission in Class 6^th.
- Rs. 5,000/- will be given when Girl Child take admission in Class 9^th.
- Rs. 7,000/- will be given when Girl Child Passed Class 10^th/ 12^th and take admission in 2 Years of Diploma Course or in any Graduate Course.
The Annual Family Income of Girl Child should not be more than Rs. 3,00,000/-.
Aadhar Card and Parivar ID is mandatorily required at the time of applying for Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana.
The birth of a girl child should be after 01-04-2019.
Eligible Beneficiaries can avail the benefit of financial assistance under Kanya Sumangla Yojana by applying through 2 ways :-
- Through Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana.
- Through Offline Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

The financial assistance of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand Rupees Only) will be provided to Girl Child of Uttar Pradesh under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana are as follows :-

When Girl Child Completes 1 Year of Age and Fully Immunized	Rs. 2,000/-
When Girl Child take Admission in Class 1^st	Rs. 3,000/-

When Girl Child take Admission in Class 9^th	Rs. 5,000/-
When Girl Passed Class 10^th/ Class 12^th and take Admission in 2 Year Diploma or Graduate Course	Rs. 7,000/-
Total	Rs. 25,000/-

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

The Following Eligibility Conditions is set by the Government of Uttar Pradesh for applicants in order to provide the benefit of financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana :-

Permanent Residents of Uttar Pradesh.
Birth of a Girl Child should be after 01-04-2019.
Financial Assistance will only provided to Girl Child of a Family.
Maximum 2 Girl Child in a Family can avail the benefit.
The Annual Family Income of Girl Child should be below Rs. 3,00,000/-
Adopted Girls are also eligible to apply.
Parivar ID and Aadhar Number of Girl Child, Mother and Father is mandatorily required at the time of applying.

The following documents will be required at the time of apply in order to avail the benefit of financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana of Government of Uttar Pradesh :-

Domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
Aadhar Card of Girl Child.
Photograph of Girl Child.
Joint Photograph of Parents with Girl Child.
Aadhar Card of Girl Child’s Mother.
Aadhar Card of Girl Child’s Father.
Income Certificate of Family.
Caste Certificate. (If Applicable)
Birth Certificate of Girl Child.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

Both Online and Offline Application Mode of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana of Uttar Pradesh Government is available through which beneficiary can apply and avail the benefit of scheme.

Online Application Procedure of Scheme

Eligible Beneficiaries can apply for financial assistance by applying online on Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana Official Portal.
Online Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana is available on official website.
Beneficiary has to Register Themselves First.
Fill the basic details about the beneficiary, the address and click on Submit button.
Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Portal will generate the registration id and sent it to the mobile number of beneficiary.
Login on the portal with the help of received User ID and Password on SMS.
Fill the details on portal step wise :-
- Mother Detail.
- Father Detail.
- Bank Account Detail.
- Add Girl Child Detail.
After details of Girl Child added, the stage of financial will appear on the screen.
Click on the Stage 1 i.e. Birth of a Girl Child.
Fill the Application Form and Upload all the required documents one by one.
Preview the Application Form carefully and Click on Submit after that.
Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana along with all the documents will be scrutinized by District Women & Child Development Officer of Uttar Pradesh.
After Verification, the financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana will be transferred in the given bank account of beneficiary.
It is to be noted here that beneficiary has to apply separately at every stage to avail the financial assistance.
Failing to do so, the financial assistance will be forfeited back to Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Offline Application Procedure Scheme

The other way to avail the benefit of Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana is by filling Offline Application Form.
The Offline Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana is available free of cost at the offices of :-
- Block Development Officer.
- Sub Divisional Magistrate.
- District Probation Officer.
Collect the form, fill the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana and attach all the required documents with the application form.
Submit the Application Form along with all the documents in the same office from where the beneficiary collected the form.
Application Form and Documents will be subject to verification.
Once Verified and accepted, the financial assistance of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana will be transferred in the bank account of beneficiary.
It is to be reminded here that there will be a need of renewal of application form at every stage and new documents will be submitted at every stage of renewal.

At the initial stage, the financial assistance of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana will be directly transferred in the bank account of mother.
Beneficiaries will directly applied for financial assistance at any stage if they somehow didn’t apply previously.
Any One Document will be needed for permanent resident proof of Uttar Pradesh from Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Voter Identity Card, Driving License, Passport, Gas Book, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill.
Fresh Documents will be needed to submit at every stage of renewal.

Eligible Beneficiaries can also eligible after passing Class 10^th to get last stage amount of Rs. 5,000/- if she can take admission in diploma of 2 years.
Girl Student should be unmarried at the time for applying the last stage financial assistance under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana.
