Introduction of Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme: A Brief Insight

• Education in India is now in a reforming state.
• Students needs Internet and Mobile Phones/ Tablets more than that of physical books.
• And after COVID-19 outbreak, the dependency on Mobile Phones or Tablets will increased among the Students.
• From attending Online Classes to giving Online Examinations or to prepare for further examination there is always a need of gadget in home.
• But most of the students of Uttar Pradesh are belongs to very low income group and could not afford the expenses of buying the brand new Mobile Phones or Tablets.
• So, the Government of Uttar Pradesh came up with a solution for those income-deprived students by starting a Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme.
• It was started on 25^th of December 2021.
• The main objective behind launching this scheme is to make youth of Uttar Pradesh more technology-friendly and empowered.
• The whole process of implementation of Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme will be taken care of by Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Limited.
• Free of Cost Smartphones or Tablets will be distributed among selected students under Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme of Uttar Pradesh Government.
• Selected Students will use this Mobile Phones and Tablets in their day to day educational learnings.
• Apart from that Government of Uttar Pradesh will also sent the following updates to Selected Students on their Smartphones or Tablets under Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme :-
  • Scholarship Related Details.
  • Skill Training Courses Details.
  • Other Student Benefits Details.
• Student’s College or University Authority will also sent the syllabus, classes details, examination details and other educational related details to student on the given Smartphones or Tablets.
• Every Student studying in any college of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to get free of cost Smartphones and Tablets under Uttar Pradesh Government’s Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme.
• There is no apply procedure available for Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme.
• College and University in which student is currently studying will make a list of eligible students for distribution of Smartphones and Tablets.

  Permanent Residents of Uttar Pradesh. Applicant should be a Student. Applicant should be a regular student of any of the below-mentioned educational courses :- Graduation Course. Post Graduation Course. ITI Course. Technical Education Course. Technical Diploma Education Course. Diploma Course. Skill Development Course. Medical Educational Course. (Students studying in both government or private colleges are eligible to apply)

How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• Government of Uttar Pradesh makes Apply Procedure of Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme very simple.
• Students doesn’t have to apply for free tablet or mobile smartphones anywhere.
• List of Eligible Students will be made by College or University in which Students is currently studying.
• Once the student is shortlisted by College or University for distribution of tablet or smartphones, the list will be then forwarded for further verification to concerned department of Uttar Pradesh Government.
• Upon the final selection of eligible students, they will be inform through SMS or Email and a list will also make available in College/ University.
• Free of Cost Tablets or Smartphone will be distributes among selected students in a public function organized by Government of Uttar Pradesh.
