Introduction of Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana: A Brief Insight

• Election Commission of India announced that Assmbly Election in Delhi will going to be conducted on 05-02-2025.
• And the election result will be announced on 08-02-2025 thereafter.
• Bharatiya Janta Party, Aam Aadmi Party, Congress Party all other political parties started their campaign for election and trying every tricks to secure their vote bank.
• Political Parties finds a best way to lure their voters by announcing pre election welfare schemes for them as a promise which will only be fulfilled if they people help them to win through voting.
• Firstly, Congress Party sets the precent at the time of Karnataka Assembly Election in which a major political party announced welfare schemes which can be implemented after winning the election.
• Thereafter every political party sets their foot in the same shoes by announcing pre election promises at the time of election to lure their voters.
• As the heat of the election going up, the defender Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party had also announced pre election promises to secure their win and form government again in Delhi.
• The major announced scheme of Aam Aadmi Party are “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana” in which Rs. 2,100/- per month will be provided to women beneficiaries of Delhi.
• The next one is “Sanjeevani Yojana” in which free of cost health care treatment will be provided to senior citizens of 60 years or above age.
• And the another one is “Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana”, which is a religious one in which Rs. 18,000/- per month will be provided to to Granthi of Gurudwara and Pujari of Temple.
• Following the tracks Congress Party also announced the welfare scheme for the people of Delhi in which the major one is “Pyaari Didi Yojana” in which monthly assistance of Rs. 2,500/- will be provided to women beneficiaries.
• The other one is “Jeevan Raksha Yojana” which is a health care scheme in which a free health insurance will be provided to people of Delhi for up to Rs. 25 Lakh.
• “Yuva Udaan Yojana” is announced by Congress Party for the youths in which monthly assistance of Rs. 8,500/- per month for one year and a skill development apprenticeship for 1 year will be provided.
• The final nail in the coffin from Congress Party side is “Mehngai Mukti Yojana” in which Domestic LPG Gas Cylinder at Rs. 500/- with Family Ration Kit on per month basis will be provided to all eligible families.
• Now it’s turn for Bharatiya Janta Party, BJP released its election manifesto in which party announced schemes for the welfare of people of Delhi.
• First election promise of BJP is for women of Delhi, party will start “Mahila Samriddhi Yojana” in whcih financial assistance of Rs. 2,500/- per month will be provided.
• The latest announcement is for Pregnant Women of Delhi.
• Bharatiya Janta Party promised that after winning the election, party will start “Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana” for the welfare of pregnant women.
• A one time financial assistance of Rs. 21,000/- will be provided to each eligible pregnant women during their pregnancy tenure under Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana.
• Apart from financial assistance, 6 Poshan Kits will also provided to Pregnant Women under this scheme.
• Bharatiya Janta Party promised that they will approve this scheme which is also known by “Chief Minister Matritva Suraksha Yojana” in their very first cabinet meeting after winning the assembly election of Delhi.
• The other major pre election promise of BJP for Delhi People are “Atal Canteen Yojana” and “Free LPG Gas Cylinders on Holi and Deepavali”.
• The future of Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana of Bharatiya Janta Party will be clear after election result which will announced on 08-02-2025.
• If Bharatiya Janta Party somehow wins the the Delhi assembly election and formed their next Government in NCT of Delhi then this scheme will be launched for pregnant women.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries

• Pregnant Women of Delhi will get the following benefits under Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana if Bharatiya Janta Party wins the upcoming Delhi assembly election and launch this scheme afterwards :-
  • Pregnant Women will get One Time Financial Assistance.
  • Financial Assistance of Rs. 21,000/- will be Provided to Pregnant Women.
  • This financial assistance will be provided in equal installments in different phases of pregnancy.
  • Apart from that 6 Poshan Kit will also provided under Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana.

Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled

• After winning Delhi Assembly BJP will launch Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana and the benefit of one time financial assistance of Rs. 21,000/- and 6 Poshan Kits will only provided to those beneficiaries who fulfil the following eligibility criteria of scheme :-
  • Pregnant Women are Eligible to Apply.
  • Women Beneficiary should be a Permanent Resident of NCT of Delhi.
  • Women Beneficiary should be belong to Low Income Group Family.
  • Pregnant Women Beneficiaries Age should be above 18 Years.
  • Remaining Eligibility Conditions of this scheme will be released after its launch.

Documents Required to be Attached

• Documents that are expected to be submitted with the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana at the time of applying for benefits are mentioned below :-
  • Any Residence Proof of Delhi or Domicile Certificate.
  • Pregnant Women Beneficiary Aadhar Card.
  • Voter Identity Card of Pregnant Women.
  • Bank Account Number with IFSC Code.
  • Mobile Number of Pregnant Women Beneficiary.
  • Certificate of Income or Self Declaration.
  • ANC Medical Records.
  • 1 Passport Size Photograph.

How Beneficiaries Can Apply Avail the Benefit of this Scheme

• After Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana is another pre election promise of Bharatiya Janta Party for the voters of Delhi.
• BJP will completed this pre election promise of implementing Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana if they wins the Delhi Election with clear majority.
• Party promised that as soon as they formed their government in Delhi, they will gave approval to launch this scheme in their very first cabinet meeting.
• After that concerned department of Government will decide the application process of this scheme.
• If application is accepted through Offline Application Form then Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana Offline Application Form can be collected from any Women and Child Development Department District Office.
• And if government decided to choose online mode then there might be a possibility that a dedicated Portal of Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana will be launched.
• With the available information the application process of this scheme is not clear yet.
