Introduction of Delhi Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana: A Brief Insight
- Delhi Assembly Election was concluded on 05-02-2025 and the election result was announced on 08-02-2025.
- After 26 years, Bharatiya Janta Party successfully manages to win the assembly election of NCT of Delhi.
- During election, BJP announed lots of welfare scheme for the people of Delhi as a pre election promise.
- Some of the major announcements are “Mahila Samriddhi Yojana”, “Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stipend Scheme”, “Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Yojana”, “Atal Canteen Yojana” and “Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana”.
- Now BJP wins the Delhi Assembly Election so very soon all the welfare schemes will going to be roll out in Delhi.
- Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana is announced with an objective to provide monetary assistance to those low-income group families who are not capable to borne the expenses of their daughter’s marriage.
- Government of Delhi will now provide financial assistance for the marriage of a daughter of poor families.
- One time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000/- for marriage under Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana will be provided to eligible girl beneficiaries.
- Daughter’s of poor families are only eligible to get financial assistance for their marriage under this scheme.
- Till now only this much information is available about this scheme.
- Very soon the concerned department will draft the official guidelines of this scheme.
- Delhi Government’s Cabinet will then give its final approval to launch this scheme in NCT of Delhi.
- Girl Beneficiary will have to wait till its launch in order to get Rs. 50,000/- for marriage assistance under Delhi Government’s Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana.
- After its launch, this scheme is going to be known by some other popular names also which are “Chief Minister Kanyadaan Yojana Delhi” or “Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Scheme Delhi” or “Chief Minister Kanyadaan Scheme Delhi”.

Benefits Provided to Eligible Beneficiaries
- The following benefits will be provided to girl beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana of Government of Delhi :-
- One Time Financial Assistance will be provided for Marriage.
- Girl Beneficiary will receive Rs. 50,000/- under this Scheme.
Eligibility Conditions Required to be Fulfilled
- Government of Delhi will provide the one-time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000/- for marriage to those girl beneficiaries who fulfill the following eligibility conditions of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana :-
- Permanent Resident of Delhi are Eligible to Apply.
- Girl Beneficiary’s Age should be more than 18 Years.
- Girl Beneficiary should be belong to Poor and Low Income Group Families.
- Remaining Eligibility Conditions will be released soon.
Documents Required to be Attached
- Expected Documents that are required to be attached with the Application Form of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana of Delhi Government are mentioned below :-
- Any Residence Proof or Domicile Certificate of Delhi.
- Beneficiary Aadhaar Card.
- Voter Identity Card of Beneficiary.
- Marriage Invitation Card.
- Certificate of Caste. (If Applicable)
- Certificate of Income.
- Color Passport Size Photograph.
- Bank Account Number and IFSC Code.
- Family Ration Card.
- Mobile Number.
How Beneficiaries Can Apply to Avail the Benefit of this Scheme
- Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana is the pre-election promise of the Bharatiya Janta Party for the people of Delhi.
- Now BJP wins the Delhi Assembly Elections, now they are under obligation to start this marriage assistance scheme for girl beneficiaries.
- Very soon the new cabinet of the Delhi Government will take an oath.
- Concerned Department will then draft guidelines of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana.
- Cabinet will then give its approval to launch this scheme in whole of Delhi.
- Application Process of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana will only clear after the release of its guidelines.
- It totally depends on concerned department to accept Application Form through Online Application Form or through Offline Application Form.
- In case of offline mode, offline application form can be collected from District Office of Women and Child Development Department.
- Whereas, Government of Delhi may launch Official Website of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana if the application mode is through the Online Application Form.
- Girl Beneficiary will have to wait little bit more in order to avail the benefit of Rs. 50,000/- for marriage.
